(CNN) – When he wasn't laughing, Joe Biden sounded a like a belligerent old man.
Paul Ryan sipped from a cup and looked like a beleaguered altar boy.
Fair or not, those were just two characterizations of Thursday's vice presidential debate on Twitter, where a Greek chorus of jokesters kept up a witty commentary throughout the 90-minute event. As with any live TV event in the social media age, the people of Twitter let no gaffe or verbal tic go unnoticed.

Joe basted the Ryan legend. The trajectory ended last night, what is left from Ryan was a man working his muscle because there is noting upstairs to work on. The guy has no comprehendible thought process armed with all talking point and some scrambled words he was not much for Joe the common men man.
Seems most of these were about how goofy and rude Biden was.... This was supposed to be a serious debate. Did somebody fail to tell Biden that there is a fine line between being aggressive and disrespectful and rude? I know the lefties just eat that stuff up but most Americans do not. I think a lot of people just turned off listening to Biden because of his rudeness. Not a good thing when you're trying to get votes and swap undecided voters.
Sadly, we needed a serious discussion, and not buffoonery.
Ryan was serious. Biden was a joke. Bottom line.
Would you Republican cronies like some cheese with that wine.
Its called confidence and that's exactly what Joe brought to the debate, don't take your ball and go home whiners, just go home.
Oh and on the way stop at a library, there are books in them there walls, don't be scared.
Not everybody likes your republican koolaid, just don't drink so much of it.
Now go away and don't let the computer hit you in the *ss on the way out.
