Washington (CNN) – After near-universal bad reviews of his first presidential debate with Mitt Romney, President Barack Obama will bring more energy and passion to his second showdown with the GOP nominee, advisers to the president said Sunday.
Yet the come-out-swinging attitude many Democrats crave could be hindered by the debate's town hall format, which requires a likability factor not completely compatible with aggressive attacks.

President just made wrong judgement in attempts to sway independent voters. He has learned it is more important to fight than take the high road approach. The President will be fine because he has the facts on his side. Pres Obama was right on Car industry, going into sovereign land to kill Bin Laden, adding millions more towards insurance, regulation on Wall Street, people are going back to work, mortgage industry is stabilizing going up and the stock market has more than doubled. Mr. President run on that record. Run on losing 800k jobs your 1st month of office to having 30 straight mos of job growth. People forget where we were and where we are. You must remind em.
I don't think the presidents knowledge will increase from last week, he clearly is lost! When he hasn't been through the business sector how can he possibly talk intelligently? Most prefer words, ie "hope and change" ABRACADABRA isn't going to work, we knew it, it's here... Mr. President please run on your record. Run on losing 800k jobs in the 1st month of office from the previous admin. People have a selective memory. Run on helping the American Car industry and how many jobs they saved. Run on your decision to enter sovereign land to kill Bin Laden when others said it wasn't worth moving heaven and hell to catch him. Run on 30 plus months of job creation. Run on the mortgage sector coming on strong. Run on a healthcare program that will insure 10s of millions more. Run on the strong decision you made to shoot those Somali pirates in the head, when they kidnapped an American at sea. Run on lowering interest rates for people who are getting student loans. Run on your middle class tax cuts. Let them know that other guy has no plan for pre existing conditions. Let them know Romney's tax policy is trust me. Let them know trickle down politics have never worked. When you give millionaires and billionaires money, they keep the extra money while the gap disparity rich/poor grows. Play Romney's true feeling of that %47 tape over and over. Mr President, you will win the presidency if you simply run on your record and then compare where we were!

it use to be the third world dictators who keep their money outside their own countries so nobody can touch them .wake up americans think twice before you vote for romney.
obama knows his stuff and american people agree with him. success or failure in debate does not matter, substance of policies and their execution matters most. aggressiveness or bulls or bullying do not convince american people because they can read between the lines. obama need to stay natural and speak his views and agenda, which alone can win american people's heart and mind.

President Obama has class, and is intelligent. I respect Our President because he does not change his position every other day. President Obama does not lie, is a man of character and cares about 100% of the people. Poor Romney he has multiple personalities and will lose it when he is challenged.
Obama doesn't need to worry about likability. His likability is still above Romney's. Obama needs to attack Romney to show that he cares, that he is not going to let a chameleon like Romney win. Once Obama does that Romney has no chance.
Maybe President Obama can mention the "White Horse Prophesy" or "Lying for the Lord" and we'll see how Romney covers those up!

President Obama when your are debating think of us; those who really need your help. When President Bush was in office and the stock market fell. My husband, who is a risky man and put lots on risky funds lost thousands of dollars that was part of his pension plan. I too lost money. We are going to have frugal retirement as compared to the travels we were saving up for. Now the travels will never happen. When President Obama took office he stabilized the economy from a free fall, he stopped the fall big time. The Republicans put us in a mess and Mitt Romney and others like him reaped the rewards of our bankrupties and stock market failure. Mitt Romney was and is a corporate raider. What makes you think he is going to help you; the poor and middle class? He took your money and stashed it in the Caymens. Mitt Romney is having a delightful time gambling with the lives of those he put in poverty in the first place. Can't you see this man for who he is. He can promise you the world, but only he will benefit. His record proves it. Mitt Romney loves to talk about what President Obama has not record of accomplishments. PRESIDENT saved us frodisaster that the Republicans put us in. Americans don't be fooled by this sharp talking man he lies and thinks it is not a sin.
