(CNN) – Mitt Romney's oldest son joked in a radio interview Wednesday his preferred method of dealing with a combative President Barack Obama was to "take a swing" at his dad's rival.
Asked on the Bill Lumaye radio show what it's like "to hear the President of the United States call your dad a liar," Tagg Romney joked about his fantasy response.

"Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him," he said. "But you know you can't do that because, well, first because there's a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that's the nature of the process. You know they're going to try to do anything they can do to make my dad into something he's not."
"We signed up for it, we've got to kind of sit there and take our punches, and send them the other way," he continued.
One of Tagg Romney's brothers, Josh, downplayed the comments in a Thursday morning interview on ABC's "The View."
"That brother has slugged me a couple of times," Josh Romney said. "I'm sure President Obama has nothing to worry about."
Asked about the original comments on Thursday, Romney campaign spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg said Tagg Romney was "joking about how frustrating this process can be for family."

He sounds very much like his father who continually needs someone to interpret his statements. What Tagg actually meant to say, if he had given it any thought, was that he wants to "take AWAY the swing states from Obama.
The ninth commandment prohibits bearing false witness (Exodus 20:16). Proverbs 6:16-19 lists “a lying tongue” and “a false witness who pours out lies” as two of the seven abominations to the Lord. Love “rejoices with the truth”. I wonder what Romney's Bible says.

Sorry, Son, your father is a liar. Obama clearly referred to the Benghazi attack as an Act of Terror in the Rose Garden the day after the attack. Your father on the day of the attack issued a statement that Obama 'Sympathized' with the attackers. Lie #1. Your father then said that we would defend our constitutional right to free speech. So it was actually your father that made a reference to the YouTube video. Lie #2. Your father then went into a debate and lied to the American Public stating that it took Obama 14 days before calling it an Act of Terror. Lie #3. Your father is a pathetic liar and not man enough to know when an apology is in order.
And we all wonder why politics has gotten so negative, because of comments like this. Both sides do it, but you have a ask yourself, is it appropriate for me to say in a public forum?

He needs to stay away from the president of the United States of America. It is disrespect for the Commander In Chief of the US Army and the American people he represent at home and in the world. His father also attempted to pin down the president with false premise during the second debate to discredit him on the national TV. That was a cold blooded attempt and a disrespect of the office of the presidency. Romney didn’t take time to apologize because it must be a norm in the Romney household to bully is a norm even if the person is the POTUS.

President Obama can and has taken a lot of punches for the United States. It is about time that the Romneys lift a helping hand instead of seeking to combat the President of the United States all the time. What have the Romneys sacrificed for the betterment of this nation? I see no proposal from Governor Romney where he will do any of the heavy lifting. He places all of the burden on someone else's shoulders. If there is a $16 billion debt that is about to be passed onto our children and grandchildren, then why does not Mr. Romney propose to pay it now, and relieve the next generations of the burden.

How extraordinarily self-righteous and downright disrespectful of Mr. Romney's son! With all due respect, the President is not portraying your father as someone he is not, but it's your father who created his own negative narrative, by switching positions often, for the sake of political opportunism. Obviously, Tagg Romney has a whole lot to learn. He needs to moderate both his attitude and develop his foresight. The Romney family should learn how great political dynasties are made. They're far from that.
