(CNN) – Mitt Romney's oldest son joked in a radio interview Wednesday his preferred method of dealing with a combative President Barack Obama was to "take a swing" at his dad's rival.
Asked on the Bill Lumaye radio show what it's like "to hear the President of the United States call your dad a liar," Tagg Romney joked about his fantasy response.

"Jump out of your seat and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him," he said. "But you know you can't do that because, well, first because there's a lot of Secret Service between you and him, but also because that's the nature of the process. You know they're going to try to do anything they can do to make my dad into something he's not."
"We signed up for it, we've got to kind of sit there and take our punches, and send them the other way," he continued.
One of Tagg Romney's brothers, Josh, downplayed the comments in a Thursday morning interview on ABC's "The View."
"That brother has slugged me a couple of times," Josh Romney said. "I'm sure President Obama has nothing to worry about."
Asked about the original comments on Thursday, Romney campaign spokeswoman Amanda Henneberg said Tagg Romney was "joking about how frustrating this process can be for family."

Everyone knows that the majority of voters are ill informed and will take a piece of false information and cast their vote on that information even it is a lie. So sad!
When Romney makes statements in regards to healthcare with no intent to do anything except put us back in a place where people are denied life saving financial assistance, aka insurance, because of pre-existing conditions I want to hit Mitt Romney. and no I am not kidding. Health care is a very serious issue and Americans lives should not be toyed with like that. Mitt shows a complete lack of respect for millions.
Folks, meet the Romney family's answer to Bobby Kennedy, minus the compassion, vision, and ability to grow. Only the Romneys would try to make money off of public education: more of your tax dollars at work, subsidizing the wealthy. No, I am not jealous, only amazed that anyone would take these parasites seriously as leaders for the rest of us who will be propping up the house of cards they want to create for their own benefit.
There are a lot of people who would like to take a swing at his old man as well. He had better realize that also. If he cannot take the truth, maybe he should not attend the debates. The Republican Party of today has no respect for anyone but themselves, and even that is limited to the far right, which if they were straight up instead of to the right, they would be in another universe.

I would have said the same thing. Obama is just like his VP way out of line but on the other had all you have to do is see who Obama hangs out with and support and you will see why he is nothing but a liar.

Unfortunately, his dad did embellish his record and touted his five points without giving us a true picture of his ideas. He chose to go after the President over financial portfolios even though the amount of money in question is so very different. If I invest in Chinese manufacturing the amount would not even make difference. When someone with millions and million it just might.
Mr. Romney did not show respect for the office of President of the USA. More importantly he implied that the President was not telling the truth about his statements about Libya. He showed us that his does not have the temperament to be President. He is too dismissive and has difficulty listening to others. Perhaps Tagg is that way. too. However, Conservatives do tell us how respectful they are and how they always behave so perfectly as do their children. Wrong!
The way the Romney's debate when the camera is not looking, "take a swing". Sounds like the bully dad has ingrained bullying into his sons as well. Let's be better MEN! Discourse is a far more courageous way to settle things.

I bet if it was someone in Obama's family who said that about Romney it wouldn't be perceived as a 'joke' The disrespect that has been shown to this president from white America is visceral and shows that racism is alive and well in this country despite what so-called leaders like to lull us to believe.
Romney tells lies about ther economy, women's issues and the Republican position on them, the middle east, his tax plan for the rich, caring about Latino voters and other minorities and about his investments overseas. Then his son says he wants to beat up the President because he pointed out that Republicans lie on national TV. In that case the President should have plenty of time to getr prepared for his Butt-kicking. The Romney boys are going to have to whup everey other Republican that ran for the office of Preident first along with Rush. They called Romney a liar long before the President. With just a few more days until the election, perhaps the lads could divide up the list and each lad would only have to kick two or three butts beofre the final match with Obama.
