(CNN) - Expect President Barack Obama to use the final presidential debate Monday night to question how Governor Mitt Romney would handle foreign policy differently than his administration has and prod him over whether he would keep the country in "endless" war.
According to Obama aides, look for the president to press Romney to explain whether he'd quickly enter into a military conflict with Iran, invest U.S. resources in Syria and keep U.S. troops in Afghanistan indefinitely.

Regarding reports that the US may engage Iran in one-on-one talks about their nuclear program after the election, the White House believes it would be irresponsible to refuse to talk to Iran and then have a military conflict, an Obama administration official tells CNN. But this same aide says the president believes there's time and space for diplomacy, and sanctions are designed to pressure Iran to come back to the table.
After the fireworks at the last debate over the security situation in Benghazi and the attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya, expect that issue to be front and center Monday night as well.
Multiple administration officials have maintained all along that the president was telling the public just what he was learning about the Benghazi attack from the intelligence community. These officials say his story didn't change until the intelligence formally changed.
The apple doesn't fall far from the tree with Romney and his five(5) sons especially his son Tagg, they talk big but don't back it up by "Maning Up", putting on that honorable uniform and strapping up to fight side by side with our brave men and women. Heck, Prince Harry and Prince William both serve, they don't hide behind their royalty or any skirttails. Romney and his five(5) sons disgust me especially when my mother had six(6) sons and five(5) of them served in the United States Military, during draft and also enlistment.
Yes, the Iranians are listening to Romney. So is their "ally", Russia. In case you right wingers havenit been paying attention, the Russians have successfully tested two of the largest bombs in history. They'e called thermobaric/nanotechnology bombs. One in August, during GOP convention. One yesterday, a day before foreign policy debate. Wake up, conservatives. Your leaders have beeen misleading you down a path of your destruction, but not their own.
ROMNEY: "It was the right decision to go into Iraq. I supported it at the time; I support it now." Mitt Romney
Romney tried to pin the blame for the Iraq war on Saddam Hussein’s refusal to allow weapons inspections.
ROMNEY: If Saddam Hussein had opened up his country to IAEA inspectors, and they’d come in and they’d found that there were no WMDs, had Saddam Hussein, therefore, not violated UN resolutions, we wouldn’t be in the conflict we’re in. But he didn’t do those things.
Well, duh Mitt, yes he actually did open his country to the inspectors.
Romney–You just can't make this stuff up.
Q: If you were president, would you need to go to Congress to get authorization to take military action against Iran’s nuclear facilities?
ROMNEY: You sit down with your attorneys and tell you what you have to do, but obviously, the president has to do what’s in the best interest of the US to protect us against a potential threat. The president did that as he was planning on moving into Iraq and received the authorization of Congress.
Q: Did he need it?
ROMNEY: You know, we’re going to let the lawyers sort out what he needed to do and what he didn’t need to do, but certainly what you want to do is to have the agreement of all the people in leadership of our government, as well as our friends around the world.
Mitt Romney: A guy with no foreign policy experience who chose a running mate with no foreign policy experience who will defer his decisions to the same people who worked for George W. Bush and were so wrong about so many things.
Mitt Romney: All wrong for American foreign policy................... and stupid.
Romney is asking for 2 trillion in increased military spending for a reason. He's already made up his mind to go to war with Iran.
What good does war do?
Amazing that all the people who claimed Bill Clinton was a god because he dodged the draft, nailed interns, and harrassed women at will, want to preach and be holier than thou due to Mitts mission trip in college and his binders comment. This is exactly why the democratic party lost me because of the doublestandard.
Funny when Obama was making his pitch in Los Angeles in 08' he told us he would have our troops out of Iraq and Afghanistan in 2 years..what happened? Talk about the pot calling the kettle black..Obama is war mongering just like all the other potus. Sick of both of these guys.
I didn't like Mitt's 47 percent comment. But he at least apologized. Obama never admits any fault ever. Its like he's afraid of us knowing he's human. I have a hard time taking someone seriously that can't admit fault in themselves.
Whatever happened to a drone shotdown in iran
@Listening – This is exactly why the democratic party lost me because of the doublestandard.
Yet you will vote for a party/candidate that has a complete lack of standards??
Of course it would be dangerous for Iran to get the Bomb, but going to war with Iran to prevent them from gettting the Bomb would be extremely costly in American lives and the American treasury. We need to keep stressing diplomacy from a position of strength and tightening the sanctions. Iran also needs to know–and I'm sure they do–that if they do obtain the Bomb, and use it, they will then become a glass-paved parking lot for the rest of the Middle East.
The Russians are trying to influence our election. Google this "Russian Tsar Bomba" At 50 megatons, it can do a whole lot of damage. By comparison, the Hiroshima "Little Boy" was only 15 kilotons. The Tsar Bomba is more than 3000 times more powerful than Hiroshima and Nagasaki, conservatives. The Russians are signaling readiness to Romney.
Amazing that the party that tortured President Clinton in the public square for his dodging the draft is now completely behind someone who did the same thing, and furthermore hid the fact he ran from the fighting by saying he was doing 'mission' work.. yeah.. all those poor Athiest heathens living in Paris, all those doors to knock on... glad he spent his time on something worthwhile than fighting in the war he vocally supported..
We need to use "soft power" just as much as hard power. Words can help and move people. A gun will kill someone. I prefer to get someone to move with words rather than shoving them out the door.
You think? WOW! How about telling that to Iran! You know all your hi minded ideas don't mean didley if the other guy wants to punch you in the face.
It's time we make peace with Iran. We should apologize to them for what we have done and possibly pay them reparations. War is not necessary.
