Obama to appear on MTV

(CNN) - President Barack Obama's pop culture push is on.

Obama will participate in a live television program on MTV Friday, the television network said Tuesday, where he will field questions from young voters.

The president's appearance on MTV will come two days after he sits down with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show," and just over a week after he sat in the sat in the hot seat on Comedy Central's "The Daily Show."

Obama will field questions from college students in Washington, D.C. and via Facebook, MTV said, in a conversation facilitated by the network's news correspondents.

"MTV's 'ASK OBAMA LIVE: an MTV Interview with the President' marks the first time in this campaign that either President Obama or Governor Romney have focused solely on young voter's top concerns - including jobs, the cost of college, rising student loan debt, social issues like LGBTQ rights, and immigration, to name a few - on a nationally televised program," MTV said in a statement. "MTV has invited Governor Romney to participate in a live, 30 minute special as well, and hopes to also conduct a sit down interview with him in advance of Election Day."

Bill Clinton appeared on MTV, and is considered one of our greatest presidents. Plenty of Presidents before him have used media to reach the people. Fact is Obama is simply very modern and knows the ways to reach the majority of his audience. The average person does not pipe in to weekly addresses, but a greater number of people do watch things like the View. Make up whatever baloney you want to smear him, but he is only following the trends set by his predecessors.

What I can't believe is that people still want to vote for this joke of a president. he has lowered the office of the greatest country on earth. he would sell his soul to win again, if he had one. thank God..yes i do mean GOD we will be rid of him soon.

Can we stop blaming President Obama because some individual doesn't have a job. I don't hear any foreigners saying "there are no jobs available to write software in the Jnited States." Most of the unemployed have no skills that are worthwhile to CEOs and the hiring managers know it. Blaming Obama is a political joke. He didn't kill Bill Laden and he didn't kill jobs! Where are the CEOs. The regulations passed are not even being followed by corporations based on audits. CEOs are mostly Republican and need to hire and join with colleges to demand certain skills from students

After Obama spent a year, plus 150 million dollars, trying to demonize Mitt Romney ... in the debates, the American people discovered what an honorable, intelligent, decent man Romney actually is.

No President Obama isn't a joke. He's the first american President other than a white man ever in these United States of America. I see white males hating that so much that they did all they could to belittle him, anger him, hate him and through it all. He stood in the face of adversity and whipped there hero 2-1 . I voted for MR. President , Barack Obama no matter what he held his head high and with dignity lead this country as a man. I can see other that would have cracked. He didn't . He weather the storms and regardless of what ever happens. I will teach my sons to look at the President we had. He was and is a real man with real convictions... He is President BARACK OBAMA.....

Like it or not Romney lovers u will loose by the youth and female vote because his true policies don't reflect our core values or obstacles... Borrow from your parents, binders full of women,47%, ect.... Give me a break. Obama is so more in touch. It might actually take longer to get back on track with the economy then expected .there is no way romnesia is gonna create 12 million jobs in 4 years.

Obama is following Clinton's advice in reviving this economy. It is a long term solution for prosperity. Better education leads to advanced and skillful workers that can compete in the world market! Advancement of technology to compete with foreign markets.

Because showing up to work and actually DOING something that's actually part of the job description of President of the US really isn't of interest or consequence to Obama. Why bother right?

All votes count. Unfortunately it is the young and uneducated voting block. Remember they are watching MTV and probably don't know what channel CNN is on. it is what it is. They have little insight to the workings of the economy much less to the taxes they have yet to pay.
