Presidential politics: Why Ohio is the 'big one'

(CNN) – President Barack Obama and rival Mitt Romney have targeted Ohio with incessant campaigning, a slew of television ads and nonstop political phone calls. The importance of the Buckeye State cannot be overstated: Ohio has not voted for the loser in the presidential election since 1960.

In other words, as goes Ohio, so goes the nation.

As Obama continues his slide and loses all the other battleground states, he might win in Ohio and we'll have another 1960. But I doubt it as the polls show Romney coming on strong in Ohio as well. It looks like the American people are preparing to give Obama the same treatment they gave Jimmy Carter. Incompetence is something that we simply cannot afford in the White House.

Willard has not had a lead in the polls in Ohio since the start of this campaign. It may have something to do with his "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt" op-ed or his bad case of LIARRHEA. Which ever it is, he's going to lose Ohio and the election. But he can look on the bright side: Romnesia is covered under Obamacare.

When the President was sworn into office Ohio's unemployment was around 8.6%. It rose to 10.6% Nd it's now 7.2%. Probably because a lot of automatics jobs were saved in Michigan.
The auto industry in Ohio employes one out of every eight workers.

The reason why Ohio and other States are so important is because the Republicans are trying to steal the election, your vote, your choice of who you vote for and intimidation if you don't vote Republican. Ohioians aren't budging, they are sticking with President Obama and so are the other States. Don't let them steal your vote, don't let them intimidate you, don't budge.

Let's see.... FL, NC, VA, CO, WI, NV, NH all trending Romney's way and giving him the lead. Even talk of PA and NJ going into the Romney possible victories. I doubt Ohio will be an island totally immune to the Romney Tsunami that will sweep Obama back to Chicago where he belongs.

Yeah, it must really stink to be an Obama koolaide drinker at this stage of the race. Nov. 6 will be a very, very rude awakening to the Democrats, who might not have much of a party left.

"Why was Romney sweating so much last night?"

Romnesia doesn't just destroy the memory formation centers of the brain like the hippocampus, but it also attacks the autonomic regulatory systems located in the medulla oblongata. Frequently, as mentioned by someone above, the result is what is known as "liarrhea," which manifests as a hyper-verbal disgorging of falsehoods and wildly cartoonish imaginings. It's an insidious disease...tragic even.

@ UBS, WILLARD & THE 4000+ AMERICAN AMNESTY DEAL

Romney has not lead in a poll in most states given the 8% to 11% more Democrats sampled for the poll. Even with this disparity Romney is ahead and the landslide win for Republicans is coming and there is nothing the Democrats can do to stop it

I felt very sorry for Romney last night as he was not provided water to drink like his VP Ryan. The man was really in a very bad situation. Paul Ryan drunk the water as if he was in a marathon. This ticket has a big question-mark on front of their names.

Actually Nixon won the 1960 election, we now know JFK stole it through tampering and fraudulent voting. Nixon refused to contest it, said it would rip the country apart. Another progressive liberal and the beginning of the decline of the US.

I have no respect for the republicans or Romney they are trying to steal the election like they did in 2000. Laws for voter suppression and them trying to justify It, public signs being displayed trying to intimidate voters in minority areas; Phone calls telling certain communities that they can vote by phone and there are many many more tactics the republicans are pulling. The systematic lack of integrity, class warfare, extrmism and racism is exactly why Romney will not be in the whitehouse.

GOP governor and GOP secretary of state. Two words will define the battle over Ohio in Cleveland and Cinncinatti and other urban-esque centers: provisional ballots. Voter suppression controversy coming to an Ohio near you.
