Little-known candidates could harm Romney, Obama bids

Washington (CNN) – Gary Johnson and Virgil Goode have no chance of winning the November 6 presidential election, but the two "third-party" candidates could have an impact on who does.

Together, Johnson of the Libertarian Party and Goode of the Constitution Party are in position to siphon a few thousand votes from Republican Mitt Romney and perhaps President Barack Obama in some of the handful of battleground states considered up for grabs and therefore decisive in determining the winner.

Alot of people who are fed up with Obama are voting for jill Stein of the green party. Obama is the pro war. goldman sachs, monsanto president. Jill Stein is promising the green new deal and is for ending the war on drugs and legalizing pot.

Gary Johnson is a Republican who was too weak of a candidate, and too moderate to run as one. And Goode is just a mush-mouthed nobody. A vote for any third party candidate is a total waste. The only statement it makes, is that you don't mind throwing your vote away.

It would be far more productive to vote for Daffy Duck or Mickey Mouse. Daffy & Mickey are far more qualified and grounded in reality than any of these cartoon characters!

The "wasted vote" is a media myth. More people each year vote for non-RNC-DNC. It is just a matter of time before the parties change. 100's of local offices are filled with Green's and Libertarians. They got there by VOTES.

Everyone fed up with pro-War Obama and pro-pro-War Romney should vote their conscience.

Vote Green Party. No vote is ever wasted.

I'm currently an undecided, unbiased voter. You only throw your vote away when you vote for "the lesser of two evils." It's time for fresh new ideas instead of ping-ponging back and forth through Democrat and Republican ideals that clearly do not work.

Now, I will agree that some of these candidates are a bit before their time with their ideas and are probably not ready to be fully embraced by the American people. However, I'm willing to bet that the people are more than ready to accept a green way of live in attending to issues such as the radical climate change, record forest fires, droughts/food supply issues and lastly the corrupt system of SuperPacts that practically run the show with MONEY. Plus keeping these third party individuals away form the debates also I feel is corrupt.

I think that third party candidates will be picking up some steam. Check out the FreeandEqual.org website. I think they're doing a second debate next Friday. Just hear what they have to say!

Why can't people understand that the Republican party is the party of only 4 groups: the military-industrial complex(they want a war with Iran, a country of 80 milliion people. Hell we could not handle the 29 million people in Iraq. Think of the suicide attacks from Iran ans their allies in Syria and Venezuela.) The Republicans are the party of the corporate elite Wall Street. They sure want they golden parachutes, bonuses and corporate welfare. The Republicans are the party of the Christian Right. They only want a theocracy so they can ban all abortions even in cases of rape and incest and they want to lock up the Gays in psychiatric wards. And the Republican party is the party of the billionaires like Willard Romney with their Swiss bank accounts who don't want to pay their fair share of taxes. Willard Romney please go to your cult planet of kolob.

Gary Johnson is already hurting Willard in New Mexico. If he weren't running, that state would be a toss up. Stay in the race Gary.

Some people should be ashamed of themselves. We have two canidates that will shape our future and our children's future. If you dont like the canidates, you should have voted in the caucus. These are honeralbe men. I have my preference and Im not going to spend time whining about not having someone who will fullfill my every whim. We have a choice, not like other countries that ram some do do down your throat. Our sons and daughters have fought and died for the privilege that you are crying about. This country was not built on whining. Get off your duff's and vote for the man you admire the most. As John Wayne always said.." Life is tuff, Its tougher when you are stupid". Vote and take the consequences. Its your right and privilege..... No snide remarks about spelling, Im old and lucky I can still write....OBAMA 2012

Can you give me an example of one of these 3rd party candidates that has made a significant impact? The realities of governing don't allow you to make ideologically-based decisions: that's why no 3rd party candidates can really make an impact, not money or lack of messaging. They are 3rd party for a reason: most people think they are crazy.

@ Real Tom Paine "Can you give me an example..."

Besides the many lesser grass-roots offices to which 3rd Party politicians are elected already, they shape the behavior of the sitting RNC-DNC single party fat cats by making them afraid of losing votes. It is like a conscience. And history has shown that political parties can be changed and be made and destroyed too.
