Washington (CNN) - Former Vice President Dick Cheney and former President George H.W. Bush are headlining major fund-raisers for the Romney campaign, a source familiar with the events tells CNN.
Cheney, along with talk show host Glenn Beck and entertainer Lee Greenwood, are attending an event in Dallas Thursday night. Romney attended two fund-raisers with Cheney in Wyoming this last July.

Next week in Houston former President Bush and Romney's son, Craig, will be the major attractions at an event.
To attend either event, donors have to have given at least $50,000 to the Romney Victory Committee or bundlers would have had to raise at least $250,000.
Neither Mitt Romney nor Paul Ryan will be attending the Texas events because they will be busy on the campaign trail.
"It's all surrogates raising last minute money right now," said the source, who requested anonymity to discuss private events.

And I could have sworn that I heard a couple of days ago that romney fund-raising had stopped, at least until he tries again in 2016.
This ought to tick Obama up in the polls. The Romney campaign should have its head examined for allowing Dick Cheney anywhere near his campaign. Talk about damaged goods. Whew. It will also serve as a reminder of those 8 wonderful years we had under Geroge W. Bush.
ah – Mr "Weapons of mass destruction" and Mr "read my lips" endorsing Mr "i'll say anything too" – republicans should be real proud of these three! RIGHT ! Please all of three of you just go away and let the world recover!

This should come as no surprise. Romney is nothing more than a cleaned up, white shirt wearing, polished boots shuffling version of everything associated with the goals of Wall Street and the Bush Administration.
The meme from the right to "not call Romney another Bush" was smoke to cover the fact Romney is their heir apparent.
And we need to expect Romney will give them assloads of profit from peddling ships (see the connection?) and armaments and new weapons technology for a spiffy new war in the middle east.

So, George the First, (George H W Bush as opposed to his son Geogre W Bush, who is so unpopular that even a desperate Republican Party is afraid to use him) and Dick Cheney, one of the original backers of the Amjerican Taliban (sorry the Tea Party), are the featured speakers at functions that require $50,000 minimum donations. That is just under the median family income in the United States.
No, Republicans are not the Party of the rich. They just require you to spend more on them than most people in the United States make in a year. That sounds fair. After all, if you only make about $5,000,000 a year, Republicans are going to give you $250,000 in tax breaks. And $5,000,000 a year will let you into some of the lower level Republican country clubs and parties. You might not be able to come in the front door, but you can hang around the edges of the truley worthy people and see what life is like for the only people who deserve anything.

This endorsement is all you need to know that Romney isn't part of the solution, he's a part of the problem.
