Kasich: Romney will win Ohio

(CNN) – Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Sunday that he believes Mitt Romney will win Ohio, a crucial battleground state for the election.

"I believe right now we are currently ahead. Internals show us currently ahead. I honestly think that Romney is going to carry Ohio. And you know I haven't been saying this. I now believe its going to happen," Kasich, a Republican, said on NBC's "Meet the Press."

A CNN/ORC International survey released Friday showed President Barack Obama with a 4-point edge over Romney, 50% to 46%, in the state. That margin is within the poll's sampling error.

Beyond winning Ohio, Kasich said Romney should win handily on election night and the nation will know who their next president will be.

"The independent voters are trending heavily towards Mitt Romney and with those numbers, like that, it pretty well assures me we're going to know," Kasich said. "I'm not sure the election is going to be as close as what everybody is talking about today. And I'm not saying that to do spin. I'm telling that because that's what I really do believe."

Is he planning to cheat more than what the state government has already done to decrease voter participation?

Not worth commenting on other than to say, umm, no. Mitt Romney will not win Ohio. Nor will he become our next president.

President Obama will win Ohio despite the efforts of a corrupt Republican Attorney General who has even defied the Supreme Court on the amount of early voting day and hours that have already been in place in Ohio until this year. Kasich tried to pass the voter suppression ID law there but failed. Early voting in Ohio shows President Obama leading 52 to 45 (based on exit polling) and all those auto workers in Ohio know they have jobs due to President Obama going it alone to save the auto industry and the tens of thousands of jobs with it. Every Ohio newspaper is endorsing Obama and Obama rallies there increasingly are having 15K and higher voter turnouts. People have seen Romney is a fraud who stands for nothing and his numbers are dropping like a rock. The only person who thinks Romney will win is Romney. Americans who think that character, integrity and facts matter are voting Obama!

Obama is ahead in Ohio and will win Ohio so my question is to Kasich and the GOP, what's the plan to steal this election from Obama and Democrats? It sounds like Republicans believe they can make us believe Romney is ahead to justify them stealing the election and that's not going to work.

  9. GOP = Greed Over People!

Nate is still showing President O with a 60% chance of taking VA.

I will take his analysis over a self-serving GOP internal poll that is just telling the choir what they want to hear, so, they will keep the "tithes" flowing in.

Wake up America. This election isn't a people's election. It is a bought and paid for Wall Street election. We all know how well that worked out for us 2000-2007.

This governor Kasich is planting in peoples mind what doesn't exist at the moment. The polls from every direction tell the different story. If Romney wins there, the must be big lens to determine his win against all the polls taken.

Doesn't it take bain capitial eight years to turn a company around? I mean if they don't break the company up and sell off all of the assets. President Obama should get Four more years. We have made it more than half way back to a prosperous economy in less than four years. With only have the team playing in a helpful way. Yes, Obama is the man we need.

I hope someone is watching the Republican ground operation in Ohio. It's not a matter of if they are going to try to steal it, but how well they pull it off.

One good advice to Gov. Kasich though he didn't ask for it. Keep your hands off this thing if you want to keep your job as a governor in Ohio. No one is going to let you claim that Romney is a winner without be assured how he come to win there. This election can go with someone if not staying with someone.

I love the part where he admits "I have been saying this and NOW I believe it". Does that mean he was lieing through his teeth before? Or is he lieing now and really does not believe it.

Oh what tangled webs we weave, when first we practice to decieve. Kind of sounds like the Republican National Motto, doesn't it.

Which Romney are they voting for ? Conservative Mitts ? Severely Conservative Mitts ? Centrist Mitts ? Moderate Mitts ? I mean the list is endless with all the personalities that possess Mitts Romney so how would anyone know which one they are voting for, the only thing that you can count on is that every one of Mitts personalties lies like a sidewalk

Romney will not win Ohio. Romney has done nothing right in his campaign, except the first debate. That will not be enough. Ohioans remember who helped them in the auto bailout, and who wanted to let Detroit go bankrupt.
