Finding love: One of the top 10 reasons to vote early, Biden says

(CNN) - Why should one vote early?

Because you might just meet that special someone, Joe Biden says.

– Follow the Ticker on Twitter: @PoliticalTicker

– Check out the CNN Electoral Map and Calculator and game out your own strategy for November.

The vice president offered that as one of the top ten reasons to vote early in an appearance taped Thursday to run as the Top Ten list feature on David Letterman's "Late Show." A clip of the appearance was posted on the CBS website.

"Single and looking to mingle? Find that special someone in that early voting line," he said.

Another reason?

"If you vote early, you don't have to pay taxes," he said. He then turns and looks offscreen. "I'm sorry, I'm being told that's not accurate."

The late-night comedy shows have also had a few laughs at Biden's expense, poking fun at his gaffes and animated debate showing.

But when President Barack Obama appeared on the show of one of Letterman's top competitors, Jay Leno, he had kind words for his no. 2.

"Here's the thing about Joe. He wears his heart on his sleeve," he said. "He's the most warm, generous person I know, and he is unbelievably smart about not just domestic issues, but foreign policy.

"He's fearless. He's not worrying about the politics of things, and I could not have a better vice president than Joe Biden," he said. "I could not be more proud."

In his Thursday routine, the vice president also took on a serious tone and noted the devastation wrought by Superstorm Sandy earlier in the week, from which the northeast is still recovering.

"I just hope everything has come along all right in New York," "You've been devastated in New York and New Jersey and everyone's thinking of you and we're doing everything we can to help."

Vice President Joe Biden is wonderful. He is completely awesome. President Obama and him are the true friends of American middle/working class. They are for all Americans. Their hearts and their treasures are in the United States and for the United States. On every issue, including the auto bailout; saving medicare; investments in educations, research, and development; payment and full disclosure of their 12-yr taxes; ending Iraq war; dismantling international and homegrown terrorism including killing Osama Bin Ladin; investing in our infrastructure; creating jobs and helping prevent the worst recession (from previous administration) from tuning into a depressions. Their second term will bring in one of the greatest job creation era and an extensive economic expansion just like during the time of President Bill Clinton. They both have similar good policies and thus similar results are expected. God bless them and God bless America. Let's all vote. Let's vote for second term. Let's vote to support America and the middle/working class. It will be great economic expansion and prosperity for all. God bless all.

Joe Biden is refreshingly for real. All of our high ranking political and military leaders like him. Even leaders of countries who hate the US like Joe Biden personally.

I voted before the unhinged GOBP tea potty desperate voter suppression machine was in place. My vote counted to move America FORWARD.

I guess we do have two clowns and/or comedians wannabes at the helm of our nation. How sad!

When you don't have a record to run on; you make jokes, hang with your clueless Hollywood friends and talk about horses and bayonets in order to deflect from the real message.

If these two "funny men" are reelected, our nation will continue to be in deep "doodle."

    Romney = W

Bush (W) is in the Caymen's giving a lecture on how to "offshore" to "beat paying taxes" - quite the patriot, isn't he? NOT

If Joe Biden is the most 'warm and generous' person the president knows, his life must be full of heartless ogres...seriously, everyone with any knowledge of washington politics knows that Joe Biden is a shrewd cutthroat and a jerk to anyone who doesn't kiss-up to him...

There's is nothing more humbling than being able to laugh at yourself.
The twit didn't go on the Letterman show because he can't being made fun of. Unfortunately, he is the biggest joke since the mutant from AK. Actually worse!

You have done your job well, Vice President Biden, and I love your sense of humor. With President Obama
and you in the White House .. and maybe a whole lot of Republicans gone from Congress after the 6th, we
will see prosperity come back as never before. Keep up the good work, sir. I am voting Obama/Biden this
    Tuesday! Yeah!

It is really sad, to think the news media that ones is to trust and depend on for HONEST, ACCURATE INFORMATION does not provide it to the American people. Instead words that joker Joe puts forth is news worth. No wonder most News stations, cable and otherwise rating are down.

Near perfect VP: Ready to step in. Knows all the issues. Also – can and will say things the president "can't" say. Recalling that a gaffe is an instance of a politician inadvertently telling the truth, Biden has never committed a gaffe because he has never _inadvertently_ told the truth!

Joe you are awesome! We voted early and we voted Obama.
we really really hope and pray ohio and the country goes for Obama.
Save te middle class, keep womens rights, work on immigration,
make sure the banks and the insurance companies behave. . . . . .our list
of positives to vote Obama went on and on. When we did one for Romney–
very short. He flip flops way too much–we had no idea what kind of pres.
would show up on any given day. Then ryan just blew it all for us.
    Go Obama!

I agree with jpmichigan that the news media is not providing the American peope with Honest, Accurate n( and I'm adding "UNBIASED, OBJECTIVE) news. CNN has moved so far away from their original mission that it is sad. CNN might as well change their name to "ROMMNEY-NN." It is truly sad. As true journalist, you should put your biases aside and report complete news, not just the news that benefits or attempts to benefit your views. Where are the stories about Romney lying about Jeep moving jobs to China; His ads claiming Obama bankrupted the auto industry and so much more. Just sad. Tell both sides ot stories. Another example, the job report today was a good sign for the country, but not according to CNN and the Romney crew!! SAD
