Finding love: One of the top 10 reasons to vote early, Biden says

(CNN) - Why should one vote early?

Because you might just meet that special someone, Joe Biden says.

- Follow the Ticker on Twitter: @PoliticalTicker

- Check out the CNN Electoral Map and Calculator and game out your own strategy for November.

The vice president offered that as one of the top ten reasons to vote early in an appearance taped Thursday to run as the Top Ten list feature on David Letterman's "Late Show." A clip of the appearance was posted on the CBS website.

"Single and looking to mingle? Find that special someone in that early voting line," he said.

Another reason?

"If you vote early, you don't have to pay taxes," he said. He then turns and looks offscreen. "I'm sorry, I'm being told that's not accurate."

The late-night comedy shows have also had a few laughs at Biden's expense, poking fun at his gaffes and animated debate showing.

But when President Barack Obama appeared on the show of one of Letterman's top competitors, Jay Leno, he had kind words for his no. 2.

"Here's the thing about Joe. He wears his heart on his sleeve," he said. "He's the most warm, generous person I know, and he is unbelievably smart about not just domestic issues, but foreign policy.

"He's fearless. He's not worrying about the politics of things, and I could not have a better vice president than Joe Biden," he said. "I could not be more proud."

In his Thursday routine, the vice president also took on a serious tone and noted the devastation wrought by Superstorm Sandy earlier in the week, from which the northeast is still recovering.

"I just hope everything has come along all right in New York," "You've been devastated in New York and New Jersey and everyone's thinking of you and we're doing everything we can to help."

Gotta love Joe Biden! He is my kind of Catholic – a good LIBERAL one. We liberal Catholics actually attempt to follow the Gospel and try to follow the teachings of Christ. So much for the religious wrong.

ll go one farther, and say that we're unlikely to have a PRESIDENT better than Biden for the next 30 years. Hope he runs in 2016
I agree. But only if the world ends in December like some people think. If the logical thing happens in December and the world doesnt end, then I can say without question that EVERY president we have for the next 100 years will be better than Biden. the guy is completely clueless more often than not. I am not saying youre completely clueless for supporting him, but the people who know the facts are not the ones supporting BIden at all. They may support Obama, but most of the educated people I meet who do support Obama do not support Biden, and for good reason.

4 years later and still waiting for my "change." Unless the "change" that we were promised was to take us from bad to worse. If thats the case you can keep the change.

We want to see your tax returns Willard. You are a criminal for not disclosing income from your off-shore accounts on your tax returns. THAT's why you don't show them!!!!!!

Biden is good guy. But people underestimate his ability and experience. His foreign policy savvy has been invaluable.

@ RobK: Can you imagine the horror of Joe Biden becoming President?
No, I think a Romney presidency would be even more frightening. Never vote for a person who has stands for nothing or whose stance on issues you cannot definitively tell someone because it changes so often. I always know where Joe Biden stands on issues. And for that he is a man of integrity and character.

Joe b'iden has a good sense of humor. He does not stand on ceremony and gives a little levity to his position.

Understand that the Romney folks are still looking for "change".
Here's an idea: read a Romney speech given on a Tuesday. Then read a Romney speech given on a Wednesday.
That's "change" for you. Don't like Wednesday? Don't worry, tomorrow is another day.

On one hand, Romney states that government never created a single job yet they want the business tax rate to be zero, states he will cut taxes for everyone and lower the deficit. We all know the guy is lying. We all know that business expects government to give incentives to create jobs – you see this everyday. Yet Romney also wants to tell a woman when she can abort an unwanted pregnancy? If there is one area the government should stay out of, this is it as all women should make their own choice. Comon sense seems to have been cut from their brain!

Newage 42 you just stated Romney's platform while trying to spew propaganda about President Obama. You may want to reconsider who you are voting for if you dislike it so much.

As far as Biden goes I love the fact that he doesn't mince words and tells you exactly how he feels. If we could get him and Gov Christie to run together it would be by far the most entertaining election yet.

Also – the economy, housing, gas prices and wall street were not real when the President took over. The economy tumbled, wall street was bailed out to keep the world economy from plunging into depression. So now you think that we should have recovered to what? What wasn't real before he took office? It will take years of slow growth. As long as we are trending upward – this is the new normal so get used to it no matter who is president.

newage42: First, learn English. Second, the UAW is demaning the feds investigate criminal Romney's financial exploits of the bail out that netted him millions. If true, even if he is elected, which is not looking good for him, he would be forced to resign or be impeached in his first year because felons are not allowed to be president.

I love Joe Biden, I would love him as president. Miss him in the senate, I think his ability to argue, fight, compromise is going to waste as a vice president.

LOOP HOLE ROMNEY does not have the support of Salt Lake City,Utah because when he was in charge of the olympics he threw his fellow mormons under the bus. He will do the same thing to the average working people in the USA. He refuses to be specific because he is a used car salesman in a expensive suit. AS IS<AS SEEN<AS TRIED,WATCH OUT AMERICA, WMD'S aren't weapons their SCANDALOUS PROFITEERS like good old MITT

It will take the better part of a generation to fix the disaster of the G.W. Bush administration. It won’t happen overnight and certainly not in half the time it took to create all the problems.

Complaining how someone else fixes the damage caused by Bush/Cheney is counterproductive – when a McCain administration would have only perpetuated the damage to unimaginable depths.

That is something to be said about Biden, he'll make mistakes which shows that he is human. It shows that he is looking out for people as well.

Joe Biden does not have the mental stability and foreign policy judgement to be VP, let alone President. His constant idiotic gaffes might be great fodder for late night comedians but that does NOT belong in the Whitehouse. Biden has been consistently WRONG on just about EVERY foreign policy topic he has weighed in on. Yes, he's been around many, many years but he hasn't learned much during that time. If the Republicans were running with somebody this lame the LSM would be attacking him relentlessly but they give Biden a pass on everything.

America deserves another 4 years with Obama , or better yet they need it.
You have to hit rock bottom before a lot of you will see what a mess you are in and under Obama it will get worse.

"We the People", are pretty stupid...I've never seen any President disrespected like Mr. Obama. I feel when Senators, Representatives, or anyone doesn't try to compromise on behave of the "Country", the President should have the right to ask for their resignation. Every President has used Air Force One to their discretion...nothing new here. Remember, Mitt went to the Olympics in London and disrespected the Brits. Great foreign policy. Lastly, the "Tea Party Ideology" will set this country back to the 1950s. If the good ole boys can not control it, they get rid of it. Don't even try to imagine how that was done. Many lost their lives simple because of their color. Even the military had it fair share of discrimination. Yet we service. Too much money is being used to fund ads in elections. We the prople must put a stop to this madness.

"Redistribution, Forward, Fair Share, You didn't build that, Tax the Rich...." do you people realize that these are Marxist/Leninist slogans? My parents are cringing at the thought that they left the USSR to come to American to hear this crap.... IN AMERICA??!! Unbelievable, who would every think that such classic Social Warfare vocabulary would become acceptable language in an American political debate. Only 4 more days, may G-d save us from 4 more years of BO!
