Finding love: One of the top 10 reasons to vote early, Biden says

(CNN) - Why should one vote early?

Because you might just meet that special someone, Joe Biden says.

The vice president offered that as one of the top ten reasons to vote early in an appearance taped Thursday to run as the Top Ten list feature on David Letterman's "Late Show." A clip of the appearance was posted on the CBS website.

"Single and looking to mingle? Find that special someone in that early voting line," he said.

Another reason?

"If you vote early, you don't have to pay taxes," he said. He then turns and looks offscreen. "I'm sorry, I'm being told that's not accurate."

The late-night comedy shows have also had a few laughs at Biden's expense, poking fun at his gaffes and animated debate showing.

But when President Barack Obama appeared on the show of one of Letterman's top competitors, Jay Leno, he had kind words for his no. 2.

"Here's the thing about Joe. He wears his heart on his sleeve," he said. "He's the most warm, generous person I know, and he is unbelievably smart about not just domestic issues, but foreign policy.

"He's fearless. He's not worrying about the politics of things, and I could not have a better vice president than Joe Biden," he said. "I could not be more proud."

In his Thursday routine, the vice president also took on a serious tone and noted the devastation wrought by Superstorm Sandy earlier in the week, from which the northeast is still recovering.

"I just hope everything has come along all right in New York," "You've been devastated in New York and New Jersey and everyone's thinking of you and we're doing everything we can to help."

"They sound far more American that you do Sniffy! You sound far more Castro Cuban so maybe you should try that country out to see how much you like it!"

Aaaaw, how cute. You know, you can just go ahead and say Hitler if you want...you'ev already lost the argument, so Godwin's Law is moot.

And, apparently, Biden's never had one single day the past 4 years when he's been proud to be Obama's Vice President.

Not one single day. Not one single day.

Not my opinion. Its what Biden said today. Wonder what happened to make Biden say this?

I find it interesting that the Republicans can't find anything good about the last 4 years, in spite of all the good that actually HAS been accomplished. True it hasn't put us back on the high road, but things are beginning to turn. It took Bush 8 years to destroy our economy. That destruction became aparent right at the end of his term in office. Of course unemployment tanked after Obama took office, but employment is not LOSING jobs any longer, we are actually GAINING jobs now. If Romney is go good, then why was he only a 1 term Governor in MA? Why is MA not voting for him? Why has he not held any other government office? Why has he been running unsuccessfully for President for so many years? Why won't he show his tax returns? Why won't he tell us his plans? (Obama has been in office so we basiclly know what he is going to do) You can't turn around what happened to us at the end of the Bush Administration overnight, it takes time to undo that damage. It's amazing to me that we have come this far in spite of a Congress who have done nothing to make our economy better. I prefer to look on the bright side. We are better and moving forward. Things are still tough but they are turning around. Time to vote finally, I hope for the best! I hope most of Congress is voted out and a new batch with better morals come in.

  4. Biden in Chains

Biden lost all respect with "He is going to put y'all back in chains" remark to a mostly African American meeting in the South. If anyone else said that, people would be going insane trying to get him to step down.... But oh no, he is Biden and Obama's lap dog.
If Obama was smart, he should have dumped that idiot and tagged Clinton. This would not be a toss up race then. Hell I would vote for him then.
