White House on jobs report: Economy 'continuing to heal'

(CNN) - The Chairman of the Council of the Economic Advisers Alan Krueger said in a statement released Friday that October's jobs report "provides further evidence that the U.S. economy is continuing to heal from the wounds inflicted by the worst downturn since the Great Depression."

"It is critical that we continue the policies that are building an economy that works for the middle class as we dig our way out of the deep hole that was caused by the severe recession that began in December 2007," said Krueger.

He continued in the statement: "Most pressing, President Obama has proposed, and the Senate has passed, an extension of middle class tax cuts that would prevent the typical middle class family from facing a $2,200 tax increase at the beginning of next year. In addition, the President has proposed a plan that will enable responsible homeowners to refinance their mortgage and take advantage of today's historically low interest rates. To create more jobs in particularly hard-hit sectors, President Obama continues to urge Congress to pass elements of the American Jobs Act, including further investment in infrastructure to rebuild our Nation's ports, roads and highways, and assistance to State and local governments to prevent layoffs and to enable them to rehire hundreds of thousands of teachers."

Understand the checks and balances of our government. When the Republicans stated that their main objective was to make Obama a one term President, that is exactly what they meant. Their actions have paralized they country through refusal to work with the President. Instead they purposed in their hearts to work against him. People want to know why we haven't moved further after four years? Ask Congress.

heal? Yeah, right. Tell that to all the unemployed which there is more of under Obama's watch. What this country needs to "heal" is the giant bleeding wound Obama has put on it.

"Let me see if I can put it terms you would appreciate. In 2008, Chris owe $500,000 and was losing $750,000 a month. In 2012, Chris owe $500,000 and his business was profiting $180,000 a month. Is Chris better off than he was in 2008?"
    -------
Let me see if I can put it terms YOU might be able to understand. In 2008, we had an unemployment rate of 7.9%, 30 million on food stamps, and a debt of $10.6 Trillion. In 2012, we have an unemployment rate of 7.9%, 47 million on food stamps, and $16 Trillion in debt. Is America better off then she was in 2008?

We cannot afford to reverse the productive course charted by Obama to build a future where ALL Americans have access to health care, retirement, homes, environmentally sound energy, education, modern infrastructure and equal job opportunities on a level playing field.

We cannot afford to return to the corrupt Republican/"Rob-me" policies that brought our country to the brink of bankruptcy in order to curry favor to those stealing American jobs, homes and retirement funds in order to line their own pockets!

We the people will elect a government for the people, of the people and by the people to serve ALL Americans – not just the 1%-ers!!!
