Cleveland (CNN) - She and Joe Biden may now be BFFs.
A 17-year-old high schooler and the Vice President of the United States could end up being "best friends forever" after Biden surprised the young lady with the ultimate offer – and the pictures to prove it.

It happened early Sunday in Cleveland. Ahead of a campaign rally in nearby Lakewood, Ohio, the vice president made an impromptu stop at the My Friends Restaurant.
At one point, as the vice president stood at a cash register to pay for cheesecake and coconut custard pies for himself and wife Jill Biden, a young lady informed Biden of a coincidence.
"You're going to my high school," Amira Nasrallah told the vice president, referring to his event at nearby Lakewood High School.
Yet there was a cruel irony.
"I have to work here," the young woman said.
The vice president thought fast.
After asking Nasrallah the distance from the restaurant to the high school, Biden said: "Now, if you ride with us, will you be able to get back?"
Nasrallah, apparently unable to fathom what was coming, squeaked out: "Oh my God, are you serious?"
Indeed, he was.
"Why don't you ride in my car with me, okay?" Biden told the young lady.
"Oh my God!" Nasrallah shrieked.
Moments later, the vice president told his aides: "You see this lovely young woman? We're gonna let her ride with me, in my limo, to the high school."
The vice president continued to meet and mingle with other patrons. But he did not forget his guest.
As he exited the restaurant, reporters noticed Nasrallah at his side – with a plus one.
Nasrallah and her twin brother, Amir Nasrallah, was also invited along for the ride to the rally.
"You go around the other side of the door," the vice president told the brother. "That Secret Service agent will let you in."
And with that, the vice president entered the SUV, along with the young woman, her brother and Secret Service, making the young lady perhaps the coolest kid at her high school.

I guess Joey B. doesn't know that 17-year-olds can't vote.
Biden really connects with people. He likes them and it shows. It's nice to have someone like that in office.
Wow, VP Biden! Way to may someone's day! You seem so genuine doing what you did to the young lady and her brother. And not for anything, you didn't care who or where they were from.....but you only saw them as Americans, your compariots! GO BIDEN & OBAMA!
Great story. I'm sure it would be duplicated by the Republican duo if the destination were an upscale private prep school and the kids were Buffy and Skipper who's chauffer had taken ill.
This story gives another glimpse into the Joe Biden, the man. An offer to give a ride to this young lady was an ordinary thing to do yet most politicians cannot embrace people this easily.
Joe and Jill Biden have another group of Americans in their thoughts, prayers and hearts every day. They have continually talked about our service men and women who are in Iraq and Afghanistan and those who have been wounded and are back home. He calls them heroes. He wants us to all remember that we owe these men and women a tremendous debt. They are fighting every day to protect the citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan. They are fulfilling a mission as set forth by President Bush. The Bidens never forget to talk about them. They have kept them front and center even as they campaign.
Unfortunately, little has been said on the Republican side. They are preparing to increase the number of service people and to deploy them overseas separating them from their families again. It seems to be a given that they will rely on the men and women to enlist so that their sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, can ignore service to country.

No doubt the Tea/Republicans will claim that the VP is now hanging out with terrorists due to these kids' surnames. But in their posts, they won't even spell them correctly so no big deal.
Please take note of the young lady's name. The VPOTUS did not bother to stereotype this person but offered she and her brother a ride to the event. Do you think Romney or Ryan would have done thing like that? I doubt it very much. Doesn't that speak volumes about Joe's character?

I guess Biden will let her vote too since Obama will only enforce the laws he wants enforced.
He didn't offer her a ride for a vote he offer her a ride because he is a kind and loving person, that was all. Some people are nice because it is just cool.
@Corey – What does VP Biden offering twin siblings who wanted to hear him speak at their school... have to do with whether they can vote or not?! NOTHING! This was just a lame attempt by you to try and bash a good-natured person like Biden who is clearly cool with any person: young or old, republican or democrat, with a foreign last name or American etc. that he meets while he is out on the campaign trail.
