(CNN) - Voters in some New York counties may get an extra day to cast ballots if disruptions caused Superstorm Sandy prevent enough citizens from showing up at the polls, a state official said Sunday.
County election officials could ask New York state Board of Elections to allow polls to re-open for another day if Tuesday's turnout is less than 25%, according to state board spokesman Thomas Connolly said.
NY, just vote for OBAMA12.
Lol... why? To give Obama an even bigger lead? lol Sure, I don't mind... DO IT!
After this election there should be a total revamp of the voting system nationwide as it obviously is not working.
When the Republican controlled states are allowed to impede voting to a whole segment of our society!
Republicans that instigated the whole voter repression efforts should be held accountable for criminal actions.
Good for NY. Florida didn't have any Sandy related problems and the cadaver governor is trying to keep citizens from voting.
BTW – how many campaign slogans has the twit had in the last few months? Now it's "change"? Before it was belive and whatever else the weather vane teisted on ay particular day. Is he now campaigning for the president also?
The more people who vote is better even if I don't agree with how they might vote.
Is that even true? For a federal election? Repugs will fight it up to the supreme court.
Election day can only be changed by congress and they have to vote on it. If it is changed then it applies to EVERY state not just NY. In the history of our voting country this has never happened.
If they do not show up on Tuesday why should they show up on Wednesday. Just another way to enable voter fraud.
