CNN panel takes final look at 2012 elections

(CNN) - With two days to go before Election Day, a panel on CNN's "State of the Union" with CNN Chief Political Correspondent Candy Crowley gave its final analysis Sunday on who would win the White House, the Senate, and the House of Representatives.

Joining the panel was former deputy campaign manager of John Kerry's 2004 presidential campaign, Steve Elmendorf, CNN Senior Congressional Correspondent Dana Bash, and PBS's Gwen Ifill.

Harrisburg, Pennsylvania (CNN) – "Hey, Pennsylvania, you going to help us win this election?"

That question from Republican running mate Paul Ryan on Saturday was met with very loud applause from the crowd at a rally he headlined at the airport in the Keystone State's capital.

Obama: Election up to supporters while he's a 'prop'

Concord, New Hampshire (CNN) – President Barack Obama characterized his place in the upcoming election in surprising terms Sunday, slightly reframing a line he first used Saturday night.

"I looked at David Plouffe and some of you know he's my big campaign bus smart guy, Plouffe and I looked at each other and we said you know what? We're no longer relevant now, we're props," Obama told the crowd of 14,000 outside the Concord state capitol building.

Romney showcases big rally in new one-minute ad

(CNN) – Mitt Romney's campaign released a new television ad Sunday, featuring footage from the GOP nominee's big rally Friday night.

The one-minute spot, "Bigger, Better America," showed Romney speaking to the massive Ohio crowd, which was estimated to be between 18,000 and 30,000.

Green Bay, Wisconsin (CNN) – Paul Ryan briefly tailgated outside Lambeau Field before his beloved Green Bay Packers played NFC rival Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Wearing a Green Bay Packer jacket and tie, the Wisconsin lawmaker and Republican vice presidential nominee was swarmed by a crush of reporters and supporters near Sideline Sportsbar and a Romney campaign bus.

Florida Democrats file suit to extend early voting period

CNN – Florida Democrats have asked a federal judge to order an immediate extension of early voting hours, citing "unprecedented voter turnout," especially in the southern part of the state.

The lawsuit filed Sunday in Miami seeks an emergency injunction to give voters a greater opportunity to cast ballots in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties. Early voting in the state had ended Saturday.

Candidates hopscotch through battlegrounds in final two-day blitz

(CNN) – President Barack Obama and Republican challenger Mitt Romney are barnstorming through the battlegrounds Sunday and Monday as they make their closing arguments in a race that two national polls released Sunday show to be tied.

Obama left the White House on Sunday morning for New Hampshire, where he'll appear at a rally in Concord with top surrogate former President Clinton. He'll then head south to Hollywood, Florida, north from there to Cincinnati, Ohio, then west to Aurora, Colorado.

Washington (CNN) – When the race is done, the balloons have wilted, and the confetti has been swept up, Campaign 2012 may be marked more by its failures than its triumphs.

But here's the starkest failure in these final days before the vote: Neither candidate has made a convincing enough argument for his presidency to break free of the margin of error in the polls.
