
(CNN) – Senior Obama adviser David Plouffe on Sunday argued the politicization of the attack in Benghazi, Libya "has been unprecedented" and invoked George W. Bush to make his case.
Plouffe said when terrorists bombed the U.S.S. Cole in October 2000 - just weeks before the presidential election - then-Republican candidate Bush said "we need to speak with one voice" rather than criticize the Clinton administration.

(CNN) - Top campaign aides to President Barack Obama and Gov. Mitt Romney spoke Sunday about the most important battleground states, saying their respective candidates will do quite well in states they must win.
Obama campaign Senior Adviser David Axelrod and Romney campaign Political Director Rich Beeson both appeared on "Fox News Sunday" and talked about states like Ohio, Virginia and Florida.

(CNN) - Sen. Rob Portman of Ohio on Sunday defended Mitt Romney's ad campaign attacking President Barack Obama over plans for GM and Chrysler to expand production overseas.
"The fact is that we now make Jeeps here in Toledo, Ohio, that we're proud to send to China, to Asia; we export about 25 percent of what we make here, and so if they're going to start production facilities overseas, obviously we're going to lose some of our exports here," Portman said on CNN's "State of the Union."

(CNN) - Two days before Election Day, the race between President Barack Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney remains locked in a virtual dead heat nationally, according to a poll released Sunday.
Obama has the support of 48% of likely voters, while Romney has 47% in the NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. Two weeks ago, the same organizations' poll had the candidates each at 47% support nationally.

(CNN) – Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, who previously served as President Barack Obama's chief of staff, said he believes the president's campaign "is set" in Pennsylvania - but he cautioned it's better to be safe than sorry.
"I think Pennsylvania is secure, but you don't take anything for granted," Emanuel said in an interview that aired Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union." "There are going to be a lot of people going back to Ohio in the (final) 96 hours, multiple times. They'll go to Pennsylvania."

(CNN) – Comedian Will Ferrell says he'll pretty much do anything if you go out and vote for President Barack Obama Tuesday, including cooking, eating trash and even giving you a tattoo.
"If you agree to vote in this year's election, I will personally give you a tattoo," Ferrell said in a video released by the Obama campaign's YouTube channel Saturday. "Fair warning, I do not know how to draw."

(CNN) – Two days before the election, Mitt Romney continues his final swing state tour Sunday with stops in Des Moines, Iowa; Cleveland, Ohio; Morrisville, Pennsylvania and Newport News, Virginia. His running mate, Rep. Paul Ryan, wakes up in Green Bay, Wisconsin then sets out for a three-state swing to Mansfield, Ohio; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and finishes the day in Castle Rock, Colorado.
President Barack Obama, meanwhile, travels to Concord, New Hampshire; Hollywood, Florida; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Aurora, Colorado. Vice President Joe Biden makes three stops in Ohio.

The twist on a popular protest chant echoed Saturday as people marched - many in costume or with puppets - in support of public broadcasting.
FULL STORY(CNN) -– A new national poll of likely voters found the race between President Barack Obama and GOP nominee Mitt Romney tied.
Both candidates stood at 48% in the ABC News/Washington Post poll released Sunday, which was conducted between October 30 and November 2 and had a sampling error of plus or minus 3 points. It surveyed 1,809 likely voters.
A series of polls has begun to trickle in since Friday, giving a view of the race just days out from Election Day on Tuesday. Polling was suspended in some states and nationwide as Superstorm Sandy tore into the East Coast last week.
