Biden makes surprise stop in Ohio

(CNN) – Mitt Romney's campaign plane and Air Force Two, which carries the vice president, crossed paths at a Cleveland airport Tuesday morning after Joe Biden made a previously-unannounced but long scheduled stop in Ohio, according to pool reports.

Biden was en route from Delaware, where he voted Tuesday morning, to Chicago to join the president in an election night watch party.

The vice president descended the plane's steps at 11:49 a.m. ET, with the Romney campaign plane a couple hundred yards away. The plane for Rep. Paul Ryan, Romney's running mate, was also landing as Biden's motorcade began rolling on the tarmac.

Around 12:15 p.m. ET, Biden arrived at Landmark Restaurant for a campaign stop, where he greeted and took photos with supporters.

One woman asked if he had plans to run for president in 2016.

"Oh, I'm going to go back home and run for county council," he said, drawing laughs. Another women stood up and shouted that Biden had her vote. Earlier Tuesday, he hinted that he could appear on a future ballot.

The vice president was also asked if he saw the Romney and Ryan planes on the tarmac, but Biden's answer was unclear

"They told me they were going to–," Biden said, cutting himself off. "I mean, when we landed they said, said they were there," Biden continued, as he posed for a photo with a supporter.

The vice president has campaigned in Ohio, a crucial battleground, more than any other state this cycle. Romney and Ryan were also in the Buckeye State for last-minute campaign stops.

Meanwhile, back at the airport, Ryan's children, nephews, and wife Janna played football on the tarmac between the two campaign planes.

I think Biden needs to be retired. He is losing his mind and just imagine he is talking about running in 2016. He has to be crazy.....who would vote him...not me for sure. If that is the best America can come up with as a candidate for president then our great country has really lowered its standard. This has to be a joke from Biden!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please Ohio do not Vote for A liar like Romney, he is not an honest person. Telling Ceo's how to have their employees vote, telling the auto industry they will loose their jobs to China as a scare, a Lie. Most of all the 47% remark.. His only goal in life is to be President but only for himself and the rich but not for the average American people..

did biden write what state he was in on his hand? i know he has had a tough time remembering who he is and where he is. but keep up the good work hammering the middle class these last four years joe. you are doing a great job campaigning for romney/ryan.

    romney/ryan – competence and achievement......obama/biden – incompetence and senility

    the choice is very easy.

Add your good thoughts to ours. Let's move America FORWARD with the best President this nation has seen in many, many decades if not ever, Barack Hussein Obama.

The Republicans are doing everything in their power to get Obama elected again. Why else would Romney make his stupid 47% speech or the two Senatorial idiots that made their remarks about rape. Not to mention the Science Committee member for the Republicans who claims the earth is only eight or nine thousand years old because God told him it was. And Republicans chose this moron for a position on the science committee.

I believe Obama might have stood a good chance of re-election if he had said nothing and just let these escapees from the cracker factory shhot themselves in the foot without his help.

Voted at 8AM this morning, Montgomery County Ohio. Almost everyone in line had a Democrat sample ballot.

Yes to Obama/Biden. Yes to Issue 2 to stop the ridiculous gerrymandering.

The hard working folks here in Ohio have real ethics that no salesman can ever hope to sway or elate to.

Obama/Biden 2012. We can and have moved Forward.

I wonder why Romney didn't drive his Chinese made Jeep to the Sensata plant in Freeport, IL, to tell those workers who no longer have a job because Mittens made $8 million for Bain shipping those jobs to China. He could tell those workers he knows how to create 12 million jobs, he could share the advantages of keeping his money off shore, and could school them on how to pay 14% on his $22 million income. He could tell all of them who no longer have health care how he would repeal ACA.

Ohio voters are more intelligent than to get fooled by Obama/ Biden's personal attack campaign strategy. And then there was nothing else they offer except what has not worked for the last 4 years. But I can't blame Joe Biden for trying one last time. Tomorrow morning he doesn't want to say he didn't do everything he could. He knows it is slipping away.

Ohio voters are more intelligent than to accept the Jeep lies from the Mittens. Nothing in 4 years? 5.3 million jobs created vs Bush losing 8 million in his last three years, troops home from Iraq and soon to be out of Afghanistan, bin Laden dead, equal pay for women, repeal DADT, lowest taxes for workers in 50 years, cash for clunkers, home assistance, the end of the Bush republican near depression, GDP up to 2% from negative 9% under Bush, ACA, and more. If Bush had done any one of those things, right wingnuts would want his face on Mt. Rushmore.

Funny thing about loopholes: those who abuse them generally eventually find themselves in the pickle of having mistaken a noose for one.

Romney is a small town used car salesman in a $15.00 suit with yellow armpit stains – trying to sell you a totaled car with a new coat of paint. Mind you, the same car his boss(es) drove into a sycamore 4 years ago.

Show me the 5-point car fax you tricky shyster!

    ----------------
"No Budget" the right cries. We have had nothing but Continuing Resolutions passed by the House since 2008 when the Global Financial Meltdown started. The CRs pay for stuff for a period of time. The back to back to back CRs have rendered an annual budget a moot point.
