Biden makes surprise stop in Ohio

(CNN) - Mitt Romney's campaign plane and Air Force Two, which carries the vice president, crossed paths at a Cleveland airport Tuesday morning after Joe Biden made a previously-unannounced but long scheduled stop in Ohio, according to pool reports.

Biden was en route from Delaware, where he voted Tuesday morning, to Chicago to join the president in an election night watch party.

The vice president descended the plane's steps at 11:49 a.m. ET, with the Romney campaign plane a couple hundred yards away. The plane for Rep. Paul Ryan, Romney's running mate, was also landing as Biden's motorcade began rolling on the tarmac.

Around 12:15 p.m. ET, Biden arrived at Landmark Restaurant for a campaign stop, where he greeted and took photos with supporters.

One woman asked if he had plans to run for president in 2016.

"Oh, I'm going to go back home and run for county council," he said, drawing laughs. Another women stood up and shouted that Biden had her vote. Earlier Tuesday, he hinted that he could appear on a future ballot.

The vice president was also asked if he saw the Romney and Ryan planes on the tarmac, but Biden's answer was unclear

"They told me they were going to–," Biden said, cutting himself off. "I mean, when we landed they said, said they were there," Biden continued, as he posed for a photo with a supporter.

The vice president has campaigned in Ohio, a crucial battleground, more than any other state this cycle. Romney and Ryan were also in the Buckeye State for last-minute campaign stops.

Meanwhile, back at the airport, Ryan's children, nephews, and wife Janna played football on the tarmac between the two campaign planes.

GM officials have been trying to convince the US Treasury to sell now, but Obama/ Biden 2012 would be in a tough situation explaining a $15 billion loss taxpayers on this deal. Just hold and let someone else deal with that lousy investment I guess, huh?
Good Grief. You're criticizing the administration for NOT selling their stock at a loss. Heck, we spent more on Blackwater.

Meanwhile, you don't care that Bank of America walked with $80 billion [BofA alone, other banks were paid off, too] and is under no written obligation to pay it any of it back. None of the TARP money was required to be paid back.

Once again we will have an election where voters will be turned away from the polls or will not have their ballots counted. The problems in Ohio and Florida are man-made. Unfortunately, both problems are attributed to Republicans, the party that tells us how bad other countries are at handling elections. It is now time to have outside observers in these states. Surely, those involved need to go through the courts to get the situation changed. Regardless who wins, we as a nation need to stop this nonsense and need to make sure every citizen has the opportunity to vote. We need to make our voices heard. No one politician has the right to make decisions that deny people the right to vote.

America 16 Trillion plus in debt – 23 Million Unemployed – and people actually think this is OK? No matter what you say...Romney HAS proved himself to be able to turn America around with his business background and his ability to work with both sides in his Legislature – and Ryan has an excellent record with Finance – that is why Dems and Rep in Congress voted for him to be Chairman of the Finance Committee....Remember it came right out of Obama's mouth in his last "Hollywood Tour" on Letterman..."My Worst Subject in School Was Math"...AND Obama NEVER had ANY business or Finance background – he was A COMMUNITY ORGANIZER (Acorn Affiliate) before he was put into office...this election is NOT about being Democratic or Republican or is about the future of America – and what we leave our children and grandchildren....freedoms....or Trillions of Trillions of dollars in debt – that will eventually crush and weaken America.

Maybe he'll retract that blatant lie about, maybe not. So much for "OBAMA" picking winners and losers. Seems Mitt's not so big on Chrysler. He needs something bigger to throw his dog on top of. Flip Flomney 2012

Time for grown ups to stop all this false information and lies from both sides.
Do you even read the hatred you print?
Look at your comments and you see why we are in so much trouble today.
Both the left and right are controlled by extremes. If we follow Obama we become Spain, if we follow Mitt we become spain but slower. Lesser of evils may be how to vote(not saying either man is evil-I think both are good men but over their heads, but rather that both are bad choices since they believe government can fix the problems it created)

The final day! Nate Silver's has the President's chances at 90.9% for winning the electoral vote, and 50.8% for winning the popular - but irrelevant - vote. Intrade has the President ranging between 69-73% with very heavy trading. Foward!

What I find incredibly scary is that the race is close at all.

I was watching the last rebate and kept thinking – that's not what Romney said before.... and then the whole women thing, he has changed his position so many times on so many things to do with women, I'm not sure what he believes.

He seems to say what he needs to say to the audience in front of him at the time.

With Obama – you know exactly where he stands, he doesn't waiver. The problem is the right wing nuts in the house who decided that they were going to oppose everything.

It is so shameful. I feel sorry for moderate Republicans who get painted with this brush.

Let's hope Obama gets in because if Romney gets in, we are a little worried here in Canada as we already have a right wing federal government who will be rubbing his hands in in crime....

The Pinellas County Florida supervisor of elections is guilty of voter fraud. She robo called citizens this morning and advised them they have until WEDNESDAY to vote. If the sherrif wasn't a rick scott-appointed useful idiot, he'd arrest her.

Many others abroad (not in the military) are utterly gobsmacked at how close this race is.

If the American election was held globally, Romney's campaign would have been destroyed 6 months ago.
