(CNN) – Mitt Romney's campaign plane and Air Force Two, which carries the vice president, crossed paths at a Cleveland airport Tuesday morning after Joe Biden made a previously-unannounced but long scheduled stop in Ohio, according to pool reports.
Biden was en route from Delaware, where he voted Tuesday morning, to Chicago to join the president in an election night watch party.

The vice president descended the plane's steps at 11:49 a.m. ET, with the Romney campaign plane a couple hundred yards away. The plane for Rep. Paul Ryan, Romney's running mate, was also landing as Biden's motorcade began rolling on the tarmac.
Around 12:15 p.m. ET, Biden arrived at Landmark Restaurant for a campaign stop, where he greeted and took photos with supporters.
One woman asked if he had plans to run for president in 2016.
"Oh, I'm going to go back home and run for county council," he said, drawing laughs. Another women stood up and shouted that Biden had her vote. Earlier Tuesday, he hinted that he could appear on a future ballot.
The vice president was also asked if he saw the Romney and Ryan planes on the tarmac, but Biden's answer was unclear
"They told me they were going to–," Biden said, cutting himself off. "I mean, when we landed they said, said they were there," Biden continued, as he posed for a photo with a supporter.
The vice president has campaigned in Ohio, a crucial battleground, more than any other state this cycle. Romney and Ryan were also in the Buckeye State for last-minute campaign stops.
Meanwhile, back at the airport, Ryan's children, nephews, and wife Janna played football on the tarmac between the two campaign planes.

Wale Up Amercia! CNN is nothing but Barack and Michelle's lapdog. Wolfe, Andrea, Candy and especially Soledad should wear Obama bumber stickers on their forehead as they are nothing but surrogates for the Obama White House.
@ Joanne PhD
Did you just learn the word "debt"? Surely, you must have lost your hearing/vision from 200-2008 because this is certainly nothing new. As for Willard's "business experience" most of us will be convinced of that when we see 10 years of his tax returns. You couldn't possibly have a PhD and be this stupid and easy to fool. Nice try.
Now....that is desperation! Obama is in Chicago playing basketball, sort of brings to mind....Nero fiddled, while Rome burned!
BigE.... And 4.7% Unemployment as to 7.9% nationwide.
Love all the people on here who say the Republicans play dirty when it comes to voter fraud. When in fact that is President Obama and the Democrat's game, can you say Acorn, Black Panthers, ect.
Four and the Door keeps playing with a kitty cat thinking it's a goat! Dude you really have been out of it...quit with the drugs. No things aren't as bad as they were in 2008. The economy back then was in freefall and we were destined for the likes of depression worse than 1929. I know you don't know anything about it...they never taught it in school. He kept an American industry alive that was at the brink of total collapse...the auto industry. It would have resulted in well over a million jobs lost, not just with the auto manufacturerers, but all the suppliers. Without the suppliers and parts manufacturerers it would have caused increased prices with the foreign manufacturering plants here in the US. The Chamber of Commerce has been complaining since the 80s that medical costs were excessively high, and thus corporations eliminated jobs and then bought in temporary help increasaingly through 90s. Then the concept was outsourcing usually offshore as it was cheaper, regardless of the quality in service. So Obama created the Affordable Care Act to solve the problem. Now the cry is it's social medicine....it goes against free enterprise. So the compromise was to not have a single-payer which was demanded by republicans in Congress, yet they never voted in favor of the bill. All this resulting in increases by group medical insurance premiums so when more of ACA's provisions go into effect, they still have the profit margins. Obama has responded to the cries of corporations on that level, so there would be little need to use that as an excuse for outsourcing...and the least of you latch onto "death panels" which were never part of the bill. Yet a voucher system for Medicare is inasmuch a death panel for seniors as the coverage they may require could very easily exceed the value that voucher may allow. And I know....you don't care about that. The deficit....yes he included the cost of the wars in that. Bush didn't have the guts to do that. It would have over-inflated the deficit he left. Right now, housing prices are stabilizing in a number of states, unemployment is falling in a number of states. You see when the economy becomes as depressed as this was, there is no way it would turn around as it would in a video game where you implode a few objects and you move to the next level. Even Angela Merkl, Chancellor of Germany denounced the US financial markets for causing this worldwide financial crisis. Europeans are appreciative of Obama's approach to stabilize the American financial markets enabling foreign markets to find the ability to stabilize. So understand although you only play with cats and call them goats, the picture is much broader than your vision allows.
