(CNN) - Long lines and sporadic problems with voting machines caused snags in some key states during Tuesday's closely watched U.S. election.
Voters waited for two hours in northern Virginia and three hours in some parts of south Florida, leading some people to walk away before casting a ballot.

I'm working in NV election prescint and amazed how many first timers young people are voting as well as elderlies. Yeah! Very emocional their smiles and sharing their experience.

Unfortunately, there are those that cannot afford to wait those long hours to vote. They have a living to earn. These are likely the people most likely to vote dem.

Like I said, if all else fails (including your voter ID laws) but you still control the state gov't, you know how many voting machiens are likely to be needed based on turnout from the last election, so just send too few machines to areas that vote for the other party and you're all set. Expect a polling center to have 30,000 voters turn up to vote? Send it 5 machines, 2 of which break down. Simple. VA and FL are all over "Plan B."

A lot of people are quick to play the voter suppression card but do you really think that Republicans somehow slowed the process to create long lines? People are really losing their heads with the voter suppression accusations. Yes, these are democratic strongholds but they are also highly populated areas that always have long lines. It's too bad that realities of life have caused some to have to leave the lines but the local governments in these areas and the staffers at the polls are overwhelmingly liberal in those regions. This is not a conspiracy, lets not lose our minds, put down the tinfoil hats and we'll all peacefully elect a leader.
Chester county are trying to turn people away at the polls. They told my mom she needed her ID and that was not true. Stay and VOTE please
It's not like Election Day is a surprise.....You think it would have been better organized...
It's time the US have a Federal body who organizes elections....up here we are in and out of the voting booth in about 10 min. That way, the rules are the same for everyone.
One thing I have noticed which explains some of the hold up is the number of questions on the ballot. Those things can be huge. Voting shouldn't be so complicated.....
