CNN: Netanyahu's relations with Obama emerge as hot political topic in Israel
For months, Republicans derisively doubted if U.S. President Barack Obama was a true friend of Israel and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, questioning if Americans should re-elect someone who might not be on the same page with the long-time U.S. ally. Now, it's Netanyahu facing political heat in his own country - for his relationship with Obama.

CNN: Boehner says he's the 'most reasonable, responsible person' in Washington
House Speaker John Boehner, talking about the prospect of negotiating with President Barack Obama on a deal to avoid the so-called fiscal cliff, said in an interview Thursday that he is the "most reasonable, responsible person here in Washington" and that Obama knew he was ready to hash out a plan.

CNN: Report shows turnout lower than 2008 and 2004
A report estimating the percentage of eligible voters who cast ballots in Tuesday's election shows the rate was lower than in the past two presidential contests, though it surpassed the rate from 2000.


CNN Security Clearance: Convicted terrorist guilty of plotting murder-for-hire from behind bars
A convicted terrorist was found guilty Thursday in North Carolina of plotting to kill witnesses who testified against him at his terror trial. Hysen Sherifi, 28, was found guilty in Raleigh on nine counts of conspiring with his brother and a female friend to hire someone to kill the witnesses in retaliation for their 2011 trial testimony. Sherifi directed the plot from behind bars, prosecutors said.

CNN: Gas rationing to start in N.Y. and N.J.
For those in the New York area suffering not only from the devastating storms but also from gas lines that have lasted longer than a work shift, some relief is on the way Friday. Leaders announced gas rationing in parts of New York and New Jersey in an effort to address the gas shortage brought on by the one-two punch of Superstorm Sandy and this week's nor'easter.

CNN: Stolen cross once at center of legal fight found
A stolen war memorial that was at the center of a prominent legal battle over the display of religious symbols on public land was found this week tied to a fence post near San Francisco. The Latin cross was first erected on national parkland in 1934 to honor war dead and has been rebuilt several times over the years. Easter services are held annually at the site.


First on CNN: Iranian jets fire on U.S. drone
Two Iranian Su-25 fighter jets fired on an unarmed U.S. Air Force Predator drone in the Persian Gulf on November 1, the Pentagon disclosed on Thursday. The incident, reported first by CNN, raised fresh concerns within the Obama administration about Iranian military aggression in crucial Gulf oil shipping lanes. The drone was on routine maritime surveillance in international airspace east of Kuwait, 16 miles off the coast of Iran, U.S. officials said. The Predator was not hit.

CNN: Palestinians: 13-year-old boy is killed in Gaza
A 13-year-old Palestinian boy in Gaza was fatally shot Thursday, the Gaza Health Ministry said. A spokesman for the ministry accused the Israel Defense Forces of killing the boy. "Hameed Abu Daqqa was killed by an Israeli military helicopter after being shot in the head while playing football with his friends east of Khan Younis," ministry spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra told CNN.

CNN: Cracks at South Korean nuclear plant raise fresh safety concerns
Tiny cracks have been found in tunnels at a nuclear plant in South Korea, increasing concerns about nuclear safety in the country following a recent scandal involving the use of unverified parts.

CNN: Turkey mulls defensive measures on Syrian border
Turkey is drawing up contingency plans with the NATO military alliance to fortify its border with Syria, and a Patriot missile deployment is one option on the table, Turkish officials say. Turkish President Abdullah Gul told reporters Thursday that due to the ongoing civil war in Syria and its possible repercussions for NATO-member Turkey, every measure was being considered to counter the risks.

After five years in crisis the eurozone's new leader has emerged. With influence reaching from the Arctic Circle to the Mediterranean Sea, the European Central Bank now rules the common currency with unparalleled power. CNN: New leaders face China's wealth divide
Much as exit polls in the U.S. show after the election this week, the economy is a top concern for Chinese leaders as the ruling Communist Party (CCP) gathers Thursday for the 18th Party Congress. The party is expected to select Xi Jinping and Li Keqiang to become the president and premier, respectively, of China for the next decade. The new leaders will take over an economy at a crossroads.

CNNMoney: Stocks tumble 1% on fiscal cliff fears
U.S. stocks sank Thursday, adding to the previous day's sharp declines, as investors continue to worry that political gridlock in Washington will drive the economy off the fiscal cliff. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 0.9% to its lowest close since late July. The S&P 500 declined 1.2%, while the Nasdaq shed 1.4%. The retreat comes after stocks tumbled 2% on Wednesday, with the Dow suffering its worst one-day drop of the year.

    Scalia and Roberts both ned to go ..both have shown that they are nothing more than partisan stooges that make decisions in favor of their party... like the Dinner in their honor ..given by the attorneys that were opposing the affordable care act .. the dinner was held the week these 2 stooges and the court agreed to hear the casae ,,... and how about the corporations are people decision ... lets hope these two discraceful partisan puppets leave the court and can be replaced

    CNN: Netanyahu's relations with Obama emerge as hot political topic in Israel
    Pres. Obama has had a higher approval rating in Israel than Netanyahu for a couple of years now. Ever since Netanyahu's DC visit when he wagged his finger in the President's face, as if he were a child, Pres. Obama's approvals have ran higher.
