Mitt Romney sends note of thanks to supporters

Washington (CNN) - Mitt Romney sent a note Saturday to his campaign backers saying he and his wife "cannot thank you enough for supporting and believing in our cause."

"This was more than just a campaign - this was a national movement," he said. "Thank you for the work that you did - going across neighborhoods to knock on doors and put up yard signs. Thanks for making phone calls, coming to rallies, donating funds, and convincing friends and family to join our team."

He did not specifically address his loss or President Barack Obama in the message.

"We still believe that better days are ahead. It's up to us to rally together to renew America's promise and restore American greatness," the message said.

The message did not address Romney's future plans. He has told supporters that one immediate emphasis is to help find jobs for the 400 campaign staffers.

"From the bottom of our hearts, Ann and I thank you for your support, prayers, efforts, and vote. We are forever grateful to each and every one of you. Today's a new day. Keep believing in America," Romney wrote before ending it saying, "Thank You."

Isn't this the guy who abruptly cut off all his volunteer workers' campaign-issued credit cards and cellphones the day after the election, stranding hundreds of his faithful supporters all over the country? Just like he did at Baine, this is how Romney rolls.

It's great a few people with big pocketbooks believed him because the rest of America didn't.

I hope this means that he is finally through running for office, any office. He is so arrogant and so are his wife, Queen Anne and his five sons and they think they are better than everyone else.

What a class act Mr. Romney is . He loves the country and could have really made a difference given the
opportunity . I really do hope that he finds some way to stay in public service, we need people like
Mitt Romney, maybe he was just too good for the country , they don't deserve him!

Romney can take some of his offshore accounts and invest in America so these campaign workers will be able to find work.

Although hardly perfect, Romney seems like a good man, great father and wonderful husband.

Let us hope he disappears into the wilderness and we never have to hear his chillingly out of touch, plutocratic voice again.

Who do you trust? Not Mitt Romney! That clown thought he could win with off-shoring jobs, offshore bank accounts and hiding his tax returns from the american people. The american people are too smart.

uh, can somebody remind me what did Mr. Romney stand for and believe in? Somehow "restoring America's greatness" seems pretty damn pathetic, when did American become "not great"? Pitiful

Mitt Romney showed the size of his largess when after losing the election he cut off funding to the credit cards for thousands of his staffers, leaving some stranded and without a revenue source.

Many campaign workers found themselves in restaurants, or cabs with an anxious vendor waiting to be paid and the staffer's credit cards declined. Mitt Romney left them holding the bag, and he was no longer willing to foot the bill. Some workers found themselves stranded in strange cities across the nation, hundreds or thousands of miles from home, without a penny in their pocket and no plan of action to take next.

This entire scenario is a window into the type of man Mitt Romney is at his core. When there is nothing to lose, and the cameras are not rolling, he is a ruthless individual.

Some members of the Romney staff took it in stride. MSNBC.com reported one staffer who, when asked about the credit cards being cut off, shrugged and said: "Fiscally conservative."

As is often the case, the perspective of the situation depends on how one looks at the situation.

Mr. Romney sometimes is better be a lose instead of winner like Mr. Obama do, you are strong believer than the marriage is between a man and an woman, not man with man, woman with woman, that is abominations the jewish know that , the christian know that , but these two group of new leaders jewish and christians supports that pervert system of this times, about the illegal all are politics Mr. Obama and his wife are lawyers and they know any person required legal papers to immigrate to this country but he don't care only count the votes of that mexican who want legal papers for their paisanos, most of that mexican don't have any schools or skills , they are future recipient of welfare benefits, for that reason and some more or less we lose, but the really loser here is our country this present government and all whom form part of this clam , never but never for sure in any bad time said: G-od bless america or G-od help america.

He was going to find millions of jobs if elected so 400 should be a piece of cake.

Twelve million jobs in 4 years equates to almost 8200 jobs per day. These 400 Romney staffers must get jobs in less than a day on or before January 21, 2013, assuming that Mr. Romney has own the election. Anything less would prove that the promise of 12 million jobs was nothing but an election gimmick that was never meant to be fulfilled either by Mr. Romney or his big headed economic team members.
