Holding Democratic 'blue wall' was crucial for Obama victory

Washington (CNN) - With Florida finally called and the 2012 presidential election falling into the rear view mirror, here's a look at another reason why President Barack Obama won re-election: The Democrats held their "blue wall" - the cluster of eastern, Midwest and western states that have traditionally gone Democratic and were crucial to his victory.

"Democrats held the entire 'blue wall'. They have now won 18 states in at least six consecutive elections, the most states they have won that often ever, since the formation of the modern party system in 1828," says CNN Senior Political Analyst and National Journal Editorial Director Ron Brownstein.

Republicans along with their lying candidates Willard and Ryan, were the reasons the president won. They did everything in their ignorant control to make this man seem "foreign", uncapable and untrustworthy for the office, but the American people saw through it, didn't like it and wanted no part of it (choosing to go forward), therefore giving our president an unanimous victory and the world is better for it.

Giving me free stuff is what was really critical for my vote. Keep it coming and you do not have to worry about a blue wall! A new I Pad would be a nice start. It is only fair since those greedy wealthy folks have them!!

You righties would like to think that's why a majority of Americans voted for Obama. Actually, it had more to do with 32 straight months of private sector job growth, GM alive and bin Laden dead, the Dow over 13,000, housing on the rebound and the very capable response to Hurricane Sandy.

The real losers in this election were the American people , you have shown yourself to be uncivil , petty and sometimes quite foul mouthed and all in the name of politics.
You have twice chosen a President in the last 12 years who has been and is lacking leadership skills and experience.
You only have yourselves to blame.

Funny, because you guys ran on how terrible a job President Obama had done during his first 4 years and now you're saying that people voted for him because he had done so much for them.

Make up your mind – and start dealing with reality while you're at it!

I agree wholeheartedly with the analysis of the Woman in California. Its far too easy to get caught up in media analysis and disregard what the people think. She said what the people think, and Tuesday night proved it.

Sasha – you appear to be in denial. The incompetent president is back in Texas. Now there was a person who could screw up a one car funeral.

Nothing free comes into my household, and since I want to support the country I live in, I have no problem paying more as an American and as a Christian, remember God loves a cheerful giver.

    @ Sasha

Yes, I voted twice for the president and I couldn't be happier and since you claim he has no leadership skills and experience, why is it he's OUTSMARTED the idiots on the right twice?
