Washington (CNN) - When the incoming U.S. House freshmen of the 113th Congress take their class photo, the image will reflect two very different visions of the nation.
On the Democratic side: Women and minorities - a coalition that, along with young voters, largely helped re-elect President Barack Obama - collectively will for the first time in the nation's history outnumber white male Democrats.
Get LEFT, or get left behind republicans.
The hand outs crowd, is the only way to describe that. They get hand outs, they vote for you. That means the Democrats are literally BUYING votes, with government hand outs.
Anyone who doesn't see the downside to that, isn't very bright.
We all know the old saying, a picture is worth a thousand words. I think it shows the real picture. We saw it in the DNC and the RNC. The GOP is the exclusive Good ole Boys Club. Until they need women and minorities during election time. The Dems represent real America. A melting pot of people and cultures. The GOP will never change, they have a sense of entitlement that goes back for centuries. The only thing this election did was told them they have to be sneakier. I wonder how many they will fool into believing their lies??
The GOP is going the way of the wooly mammoth. When you honor your pledge to Grover Norquist instead of the American people, you have lost the reason for your party's existence.
People who ride in the cart to the left, people who push the cart to the right, and that's white women too BTW.
And the Republicans still don't understand why President Obama won and to top it off they elected a man, Mitt Romney, who is completely "out of touch" with America.
A natural progression reflecting our nation as we continue to evolve. Time has led to this change and we as a people must learn our country has benefited from our diversity.....after all we got started because of intolerance to change!!!
What is all this bias talk! I AM a white male, believe in God, and I VOTED for Obama in BOTH ELECTIONS! Republicans have done nothing for this country except for THEIR own gain. So there!! Stop insulting white males!!
Our future in in the center. The challenges of global climate change and management of our deficit require all Americans to pull together. It's time to reject the Fox News mentality and seek pragmatic solutions rather than fanning the fires of hatred and bigotry.
You just don't get it. It doesn't matter who you voted for or what you believe. You fit the staw man they are taught to hate. The evil that is there to take something away from them.
@Rick McDaniel, you better check your facts bud because in over 75% of the red states they took more from government than they gave in revenues. It's your red states wanting sucession that obviously too ignorent to realize as yourself you can't survive without the governments help but as usual your arrogence overshadows your ignorence doesn't it Rick!!Just do some research before ranting like " truth hurts,my views and others "the racist ignorent trailer trash that spewed unfactual crap just like your excandidate Romney,no facts just manure like yourself!!And the fact that overwhelmingly blue states that support those freeloadin red states voted all for Pres.Obama and you be happy they did or your red states would be out side looking in with very limited support and thats fact!!Rick, just act as an adult and take your political loss in stride and put your hate in the Democrates to better use as helping your fellow man, you'd be a better human being for it !!!
"It's time to reject the Fox News mentality and seek pragmatic solutions rather than fanning the fires of hatred and bigotry."
I agree, Larry L. Apparently others on CNN's ticker don't (one assumes they are the Fox News crowd) and will continue spreading their hate and bigotry. Sadly, hate is all they have in their lives. I suspect it's all they've ever had else they wouldn't continue clinging to it for comfort instead of casting it aside as the hindrance to them it is.
@ Dan @ 9:02 am – Thank You for Your comment . I am Also a White Male & I Voted for Obama Both Times, in "08" & in 2012 !! However, I used to be registered as a Democrat, but have since registered as an Independent.
I agree with Dan. Please stop insulting white men. Many young, white males joined working, professional white women in voting for Obama. On the right you have out-of-touch white males pushing the politics of fear. They see the 21st cwntury as a threat to their tin god roles insde their secluded bubbles. Time waits on no man. Let us all move forward.
