Obama: Republican criticism of Rice 'outrageous'

Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama called out Republican Sens. Lindsey Graham and John McCain for their "outrageous" comments saying they would block U.S. ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice if she is nominated for secretary of state.

"If Senator McCain and Senator Graham and others want to go after someone they should go after me," Obama said at a White House news conference on Wednesday. "When they go after the U.N. ambassador apparently because they think she's an easy target, then they've got a problem with me."

Sadly, John McCain’s legacy and credibility goes as far as his selection of running mate in 2008. It was he who birthed the laughable and unintelligent Sarah Palin into America’s living room. Everything he has said and done since that time; and everything he will say and do in the future will be held up to this bad decision. In other words, John McCain’s opinion simply no longer matters. Just give the old fool his apple sauce, wheel him in front of the television and maybe he’ll stop embarrassing himself.

Lindsay Graham, aka known as McCain's confidante in putting America First is just as big a cretin.

Yeah, because it's racist to dispute an appointment with Obama.

Somebody remind me to short stocks before the President's next news conference. As usual, the stock market is down big after Obama speaks.

here is what gets me – in Iraq – we lost THOUSANDS of our Soldiers -and In Afghanistan we lost how many of our troops ? Point is, and I'm not trying to make light of it, or make the 4 americans that died , sound like it's nothing, but how about all of our people that died in our forces, in those wars, under the "w" regime ? Am I missing something here ?

If the republicans REALLY were concerned about the people and this countries security Oliver North and George H. W. Bush should have been convicted of treason. Reagan at the least should have been impeached.

BTW – Lindsey Graham & McCain were Congressmen at THAT Time – wonder what they thought then ?

If people Really know their history, this case is close to being in doubt as that Iran-Contra scandal that was ripe with corruption.

But I expect a lot on the right to stick their head on that one. How ironic all that corruption is coming back to bite us in the butt in the form of Iran,Afghanistan and Al Queda. How you do think they got armed ? Wake up people and read some books. Know your history. We can thank Reagan and Bush for the Afghanistan,Iran and Al Queda

Whining, whining and whining. That's all there is to John McCain. He is like an old horse. There comes a time when you just have to put him down. And Lindsay Graham, YOU LOST THE ELECTION. The American people have spoken. For anyone in congress especially the "NO" republicans do not expect any credibility. You have proved yourselves useless and a deterrent to progress. Get out of the way. People don't respect you.

Such a whiny little man when somebody questions his rule. And people wanted him to stay in so he could dictate more.

what is truly outrageous is that you whitehouse would lie to the american people for two weeks and hide the truth of the terrorist attack.

what is truly outrageous is that you and your adminstration lied to her and sent her out to lie for you on five national TV programs.

what is truly outrageous is that 60 minutes hide their interview and edited your statements out concerning benghazi which should you would not call it a terrorist attack.

what is truly outrageous is that you continue to get american citizens killed both at home and abroad with your reckless and gross incompetence.

Larry in Houston, what you are missing is that the 4 murdered americans were hung out to die. THIS IS NEVER DONE IF HELP IS AVAILABLE> they were attack for several hours. help was less than 2 hours away, at an air base in italy.
Sending just one F130 would have staved off the attack. The drone overhead was sending the info regarding the attack
directly to the War room at the whitehouse. The Cia was receiving the same info at the same time and nothing was done to help them. ON THE BATTLEFIELD SOLDIERS NEVER LEAVE A WOUNDED SOLDIER BEHIND. This changes that, and that is disgraceful.

Lindsey Graham can dish it out, especially when he's next to his boy crush McCain, but he sure can't take it when it's thrown back at him.

What is OUTRAGEOUS is the cover-up by Obama and his administration. What is outrageous is that Obama flew to Las Vegas for a campaign event the night these men were murdered. What is outrageous is that this president thinks he can threaten American citizens and try to silence their questions about this very serious event. He is not a dictator. We are a republic. We can voice our questions and concerns and even demand answers. He is working for us – the American citizens – and we have a right to hold him and his administration accountable.

In the 2nd Debate the President insisted he called the events in Benghazi "Acts of Terror" the very next day in the Rose Garden. So why is Mrs Rice on shows blaming the video? Because that the information she been given by the WH. The President just indicated himself. LOL

Saw John McCain on cbs this am...what a bitter fool. He looked foolish stammering and struttering and face all twisted. Wonder how much was about Bengahzi and the rest about how he lost big time? He never names the 3 other people who were killed. Wish he was this compassionate about crime here in the old USA. As one of these american people who are demanding answers I want to know will he work towards moving forward or will he forever be bitter about being a big sore biitter angry loser?

Consulates and embassies have been attackd repeatedly under all recent administrations.
Every time it took a while for the intel to be sorted. Only this time has the President been held to an impossible standard. These people politicizing tragedy have no shame and no perspective.

How is it that one moment McCain is crying His eyes out that He and His Buddies have not been given any intel on the situation and that they need to start up an investigative commitee of their own and then 10 minutes later start accusing people like they have all the information that They just told Us They don't have!

"I think you failed as commander-in-chief before, during, and after the attack."

    Followed by

"We owe it to the American people and the victims of this attack to have full, fair hearings and accountability be assigned where appropriate,"

Got that? Senator Light-in-the-Loafers wants to have "full" and "fair" hearings, but he's somehow already decided how to assign all of the "accountability." It's called doublethink. Look it up.
