Arch-conservatives: anger, denial but no acceptance of Obama's victory

Washington (CNN) - Step by step, diehard conservatives are confronting their grief over President Barack Obama's re-election.

But judging from blog posts and other public pronouncements, many remain stuck somewhere between denial and anger, very far from acceptance.

yes, don't conservatives know that they were expected to roll over, forget their principles and beliefs and give the dear leader everything he demands? because he is der fuhrer! hahaha.... let's see if the idiot has finally learned how to lead from bill clinton. i doubt it based on what we have seen so far.

I've never seen such sore losers. When conservatives lose, they want to take the football and go home. Maybe they're upset because their plan of STEALING the election was denied. Thank you ANONYMOUS!

It's a relief to know that Americans get what's going on and refuse to be led like sheep. If it wasn't for Republican (gerrymandering) redistricting, progress would have been made in the Congressional races. That's Ok because when 2016 get's here we will have registered an unbelievable amount of people to fight the (do nothing) Republican Congress, Americans have spoken.

Proof: the problem with today's GOP and their closed environment is delusion.

    Delusionals make very poor leaders.

No need to accept the party and policies I am pricipally opposed to. 2% difference in the outcome. People that cant even spell vote or think their families stealing from American citizens is ok are the ones that made the difference. In the end they liked Obamas hand outs. We will all pay for that. Silly liberals, enjoy the consequence of your ignorance.

The party of the Christian Right and the theocracy they want is going down to defeat. How ironic their standard bearer Willard Romney was a non-Christian mormon cult follower. What will they do when the Supreme Court legalizes Gay marriage next year. The God of rapist Joseph Smith has been defeated and now Pat Robertson, Dobson, Franklin Graham and Ralph Reed are going down to defeat. As Judge Roberts said Roe versus Wade settled American law.

the poor right wing stuck in their "FoxNews Bubble" will just have to do what they told the left and other Democrats back in 2004...GET OVER IT!

and I laugh heartily at these haters...these sore losers. I wish they would get over it!
We have serious issues that need tending to

Here's the problem. Right wing media has constructed a carefully crafted hamster cage, complete with hamster wheel for their viewers to vent their anger, demonstrate their stamina, and you get the rest.. The cage is hermetically sealed against any leaks, which means truth cannot enter into the internal atmosphere.

Furthermore, accepting an Obama victory would mean that conservatives would be forced to admit that they were in error, which something that conservatives simply do not do. They will self destruct before admitting that they were wrong about something: i.e. Karl Rove election night on air melt down.

Stop the over analyzing why they cant believe Obama won. Arch-conservatives just hate this president so much, they would rather destroy this county than aloud him to run this country.

Let's hope the angry, bitter people have healthcare. Nothing brings on a heart attack quicker than pent up anger and bitterness. Anger also raises blood pressure and can cause so many health problems.
On a lighter note: I pray that everyone that celebrates Thanksgiving have a Blessed time with your families, friends and loved ones. Whether it is turkey, ham, football, parades or feeding the homeless take care, and be safe. I am giving thanks for living in the greatest country in the world. I am also as I always do saying a prayer for our military who sacrifice so we can be safe. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Good. Let them stay there as the rest of us move FORWARD. It's time to leave the conservatives and their stuck-in-the-50's, bigot, plutocrat, religio-fascist base BEHIND. The GOP/Teratrolls have 3 options: drastically change their ideology and policy position, die off or lie a whole lot better. After Mittens' FAILED but epic effort to pull the wool over Amurika's eyes this past election, it's looking like the lying game may finally be merging with the "die off" option.

These are some seriously undereducated, delusional, hyper-partisan, ideologue bigots. Just reading this article gave me a freekin headache. Seriously. When some jackhole member of the party that constantly tries to ressurect the Civil War states right meme and has idiots runnign around screaming about the 10th and 17th Amendments...when someone like that can accuse the other side of "balkanizing" America, you know they've freekin lost it...completely lost it...unhinged and unglued...and their quasi-psychotic penchant for projection is out of control. Totally ridiculous. Throw your tantrums all yuo want, GOPers/Teatrolls. You're not going to survive the next couple decades unless you change drasticallyk and swiftly.

Did anyone expect any other outcome? They don't believe in Democracy, as we practice it. They have shown that by the way they obstruct progress, ignoring the will of the majority.

Well, these same arch conservatives never accepted President Obama's first election, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at the extent of their delusional & extremist thinking.

These people need to pull on their big girl panties and grow the heck up, already. Sheesh, such whiny babies in the party of 'personal responsibility'.

@ just sayin @ guest – continue to lower the bar!! Adding nothing to the discourse simply does not get us anywhere!!
If name calling is your only game, nobody will take you seriously. It was 3% which equated to nearly 3 and a 1/2 MILLION voters who disagree with the GOP and where MR was going to take us.
Take a breather. . . it will only be another four years until you can spout your odd points of view. Maybe by the end of that time, you will see that we are all in a better place. Wouldn't that be something???

I think the republicans should blame billionaires for only giving them $3 billion in this campaign, instead of the $3.2 billion it would take for a republican to win the white house.

"Furthermore, accepting an Obama victory would mean that conservatives would be forced to admit that they were in error...."
No, not in error, and no need to accept an Obama victory. The only thing his victory has proven is that the dumbing down of our children has worked, creating class warfare works, creating racist divides works, giving more handouts to the people that don't want to work, works. Which is all he did. He did so few good things for this country that he had no record to run on. If he had tried to run on only his record, it would have been a landslide victory for anybody but him.

Romney would have been disaster for the majority of Americans had he become President. In Foreign Policy America had just began to recover from the night mare decisions of the George Bush Presidency. Thankfully Karl Rove, his minions and the entertainment Channel Faux News were unable to pull the wool over American voters this time around.

I wish there was a unofficial global election for the American Presidency. Maybe then Conservative Republicans will see how much they are ridiculed, laughed at and dismissed as weak and insignificant by the majority of the world abroad.

So we are to assume the Democrats will roll over and start doing everything a Republican President demands of them? Yeah, right. Just like now they want to get rid of the filibuster in the Senate because they are in the majority but used it relentlessly when they wer ein the minority. Will the dishonesty ever end from the Democrats?
