Arch-conservatives: anger, denial but no acceptance of Obama's victory

Washington (CNN) - Step by step, diehard conservatives are confronting their grief over President Barack Obama's re-election.

But judging from blog posts and other public pronouncements, many remain stuck somewhere between denial and anger, very far from acceptance.

I wonder if it occurs to the various right-wing kooks listed in the article that the American voting public actively chose Mr. Obama over Mr. Romney largely because of the active craziness on the right? Sure, no one is asking them to give up their right to believe the nonsense that they do, but they don't seem to grasp that as long as idiocy is what they promote, that they are simply going to keep on losing to candidates who hold more rational and more moderate positions and ideologies. It is willfully delusional (there's that word again) on the part of these clowns to think that their wacky notions are somehow really embraced by the majority of Americans.

"yes, don't conservatives know that they were expected to roll over, forget their principles and beliefs and give the dear leader everything he demands?"

Nobody expects any of that. We expect adult behavior, rational thought, fact-based analysis, respect for the historical record (instead of constantly attempting to rewrite it) and expert opinions, acceptance of scientific fact and coherent, cogent, civil public discourse. Instead we received 4 years of insane political tantrums, paranoia, pantwetting partisan gridlock, manufactured crises, misinformation campaigns, demagoguery, outright LIES and what was quite likely the most insane display of "if we don't get to control America then nobody gets to have an America" in our history as a nation. You made yourselves a very VERY uncomfortable bed to lie in.

YOU LOST. OUR VALUES WON. Pull up your freekin big boy pants and man up, learn to live with it and change/adapt. All of your sound and fury signifies NOTHING. And if you think the answer is 4 more years of obstruction and "we'll show you...we'll break everything and then try to blame your suffering on Obama" is going to fix anything for you, you beter rething that and recognize how much more infuriating it will be when I'm gloating over the actual demise of the GOP/Teatrolls instead of just one election win.

Bitterness,grudges....fear. All very tough to get through. The world owes you nothing is true....but the world is a good place! Only bitterness and fear leave that chip on your shoulder that keeps you stuck in a grudge. Forward is they way....let it go or it will ruin you! Obama has not done anything personal to any of these people other than express a point of view or a perspective different from theirs....and they demonize him. What's that about? There is help available....

Actually, it's funny how the Right has managed to create an industry out of hating Obama, but they can't use that expertise in the economy at large. Loving watching the epic, paranoid fail of the Right.

"Just like now they want to get rid of the filibuster in the Senate because they are in the majority but used it relentlessly when they wer ein the minority."

No they didn't. The GOP is the party that has set all the insane records for filibusters, secret holds, time of delay for nomination hearings, etc. The Dems did not go filibuster happy from 2000-2006 in comparison to the outright filibuster hissy fit the GOP has been throwing since 2006. Not even remotely close.

Wow. I had no idea the president's homies were so interested in my money. Union thugs? Yes, I see them hovering outside my window: they just ransacked a church and burned the bibles, waving korans and chanting " Allah is great". How could I have been so blind? Yes, and the gays are marching next, gee whiz, how could I have been so wrong and the rightie wackos been right about everything....If you really are that much of a mouth breathing idjit, than follow Mitt's advice and self-deport: I hear Chile is looking for angry, parasitic red-state leeches that are looking for low taxes and no infrastructure. Enjoy your brave new world, my rightie Delta-minus friend! The other option is you could grow a pair and accept it, but I don't think you have that kind of courage.

Why don't these folks realize they are free to give up their citizenship and leave this country. Such hate and racism is not wanted in this country anymore. We Dems didn't put up this type of act when the Bush's were in the WH. Repub can feel free to leave this country and take Mitt, McCain, Limbaugh and all the other ignorant red necks with them. It will only be worse for them since we are not turning back

How many times are we going to read a story about these petulant, clueless, spoiled, lying sore losers?
How is it that even in complete defeat they still manage to get all of this press?
The GOP put themselves in this situation by running completely and astonishingly amok these past four years.
What else did they expect when they brazenly stated for ALL to hear that their only goal, their only job, their only purpose was to make sure that Pres. Obama was NOT re-elected, even if that meant that the country would not recover, or would be slow in it's recovery.
They didn't care about us then. NONE of us except for the 1%ers.
Well hell, we certainly don't care about them now.
It is something about reaping what you sow. Birds coming home to roost. Karma being a b itch.
It certainly did not help them that Romney sucked and stank to high heaven as a human being let alone a candidate.
    Forward America.

Wilson-No, not in error, and no need to accept an Obama victory. The only thing his victory has proven is that the dumbing down of our children has worked, creating class warfare works, creating racist divides works, giving more handouts to the people that don't want to work, works. Which is all he did. He did so few good things for this country that he had no record to run on. If he had tried to run on only his record, it would have been a landslide victory for anybody but him.

Perfect example of someone living on Conservative Island. The racists you speak of came out in 2008. They haven't stopped. Democrats didn't need to create them. Just give them the mic and step back. Kinda like with Akin, Mourdock, West and the other losers. I love how conservatives accuse others of creating the issues they create just by speaking their hearts. To his credit, Obama didn't go there too much. But tell us how many republican/tea folk had to resign over racists e-mails and the like over the past 4 years? Quite a few.

Look, the handouts thing is way past hilarious. Put it like this: If you believe that all those "lazy" people actually got up and voted, then you are a bigger dope than I thought. Many such as myself, college educated, making a pretty nice penny, did not support the loser in theory Romney. You can make up whatever lies you want. But Obama wouldn't have won if he relied on the poor and minorities.

Lastly, he couldn't run on the record conservatives have been lying about for the past 4 years. Unemployment back down to where he found it, doubled stock market, housing market rebound, etc. Romeny tried to tell Ohioans how bad the economy was....right after the Ohio republican governor said the exact opposite. I know you would blame the media, but that's your own peeps messing it all up.

In other words, it's a poor musician who blames his instrument.
