(CNN) – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin apologized Monday night for describing some Congressional Republicans as "wusses" who are being "wobbly" on conservative principles in the fiscal cliff debate.
"Well I guess I shouldn't call politicians names, so I apologize for calling the wobbly ones wusses," Palin said on Fox News.

Days earlier, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee cautioned on the same network that some Republicans were compromising too much in the deficit-reduction battle taking place in Washington.
Lawmakers face an end-of-the-year deadline to reach an agreement before a large amount of tax hikes and spending cuts kick in. Democrats and Republicans are at a virtual stalemate over whether to raise tax rates on the wealthy–a provision that many in the GOP are actively working to prevent.
"Republicans, don't get wobbly on us. Don't be wusses about this," she said Friday. "We just elected you as representatives of the people to get there in Washington, D.C. and rein it in."
To the federal government, Palin pleaded: "Become as irrelevant in our lives as possible, please."
The conservative firebrand later regretted her choice of words, saying the calling of names "distracts from the point that has to be made."
"The point is that we are a bankrupt country," she added. "There isn't enough money in the world to pay back the future generations that we have stolen from and foreign countries that we have borrowed from and, through quantitative easing, the money that has been printed out of thin air."
Palin, however, stood by her stance that the problem stems from President Barack Obama's leadership and she has urged Congress to "work around those failed ideas coming from the president."
Also on Friday, Palin insisted that because of the nation's increasing debt, the country "has already gone over the cliff."
"It's just a matter of how hard are we going to thump down there at the bottom of the cliff," she said.

OK I see..Palin only "apologies" when she insults REPUBLICANS!! She has never said she was sorry for all the names she has called the president or even the attacks on the first lady. Palin is far beyond yesterday's news and other than her FoxNews gig has no relevance what so ever.

Palin exemplifies the problems with the Republican base. You can't take complex problems and solve them with overly-simplified solutions. Our modern world is complicated and poorly-informed, under-educated, and immature leaders must not be called upon to lead us through the difficulties. Palin is physically attractive, outspoken and perky. Those are not the qualities required to serve in important leadership positions – but they are the only ones she offers.

I agree with one Facts Don't Lie, she apologizes to Republicans but not a word of apology for some of the nasty things she has said about the President and First Lady. What she should apologize for is thinking she is somehow relevant to the conversation. CNN why must you address everything she says – you give her credence and then folks like me can't help but comment. It's a vicious circle I tell ya!

And what have been her ideas to help people and reduce the debt? I don't see her as any more learned about the governmental situation than any time earlier. She has not shown to me that she is anything more than an ideologue who refuses to see the facts involved in this situation.
It is apparent that "fair and balanced" Fox News has no aspirations to become a legitimate and credible news organization. By providing Palin with a polifical soap box to stand on, Fox News reaffirmed itself to be the media and propoganda wing of the GOP/Tea Party.
