Obama was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize before he took office.
He was named Person of the Year in 2008 before he took office.
He is now the Person of the Year in 2012 without doing anything.

    I sense a pattern here.

Time's is about as credible as the Nobel Peace Prize Committee. Obama has alienated this country more than he has pulling it together

The most divisive POTUS in US history, the biggest spender in US history, the most failed foreign policies in US history, the biggest destroyer of constitutional rights in US history, the biggest enslaver of the poor, disenfranchised and dependent in US history, and enslaver of the youth who will be shackled with debt for their entire lives, the most devastating impact on healthcare and healthcare costs in US history. Obama has done more irreversible damage to the US than any and all presidents before him.

For what? Raising the debt ceiling? Continuing the wars? I'm not sure what this guy did the past 4 years. Not saying that anyone would have done better, but reaslistically there are many more folks that contributed and postively impacted the world, and no they do have to be gay or are for abortions. Its ok to not be have a social agenda and make an impact.

Obama should be Time's Person of the Year. His campaign was outspent by Mitt Romney's campaign 3:1, and conservative SuperPACs outspent liberal SuperPACs 6:1, yet Obama still slaughtered Romney by over 4.6 million popular votes and 126 electoral college votes. If that was not enough, Obama has done more to drive the lunatic fringe of the right further into depression than even Bill Clinton did, and THAT is really quite an accomplishment.

What a joke!! Someone please tell me what he has done in the past year to warrant such a reward? Or please tell me what he did to "earn" the Nobile Peace Prize. The media needs to get over their fascination of this man and start looking at the FACTS of his failed Presidency.

Then the following year he could be named the worst person of the year. I am huge supporter of Obama. We voted him back in and gave Democrats more sets in congress. The republicans have played destructive Politics for last 4. They made the American economy suffer in hope they Blame the Democrats and Obama. The american people seen threw it and it back fired. Democrats was given a mandate to run the country. And now after the election and Americans overwhelmingly will blame the republicans if the fiscal cliff happens. The democrats lose their backbone and going to give n to the republicans. If that happens the democrats will lose a ton of voters cause they have no confidence in Democrats. Vote democrat Republicans still call the shots. Vote republican the republicans call the shots. Why are democrats caving in. they are going to let republicans get their way and cut social security and cut medicare to seniors. If Americans wanted that we would voted republican. Democrats and Obama get a back bone republicans have no grounds to stand on. If they don't play ball republicans be blamed and lose very badly in the mid terms. For once democrats play the same game the republicans play. If democrats keep a back bone you get everything you want in the bill. Republicans have no choice but to pass it. The american people spoken very loud and clear and now your going to ignore them. You know the republicans are very happy inside that voters are now going to blame democrats for cuts in social security and medicare. And the republicans will be able to campaign that democrats are the party that wants to destroy social security and medicare. Whats sad it be the truth if democrats lose their backbone. Do what Americans want just raise revenue. Increase taxes on the wealthy and since the corporations are making record profits but still paying the lowest wages that means they need some taxes to. Stop giving oil companies billions in welfare lol. Everyone agrees except the right wing nut jobs that to get economy moving is to spend your way out of it. This is no time to start cuts. If anything should be spending more. But to get a more balanced budget tax the ones who are doing very good like top 2% and corporations. Stop giving welfare to them lol. But most of all if the Democrats want to see mass desertions in thief party go ahead lose your back bone. We wont vote for republicans but we just not vote. Why does it matter if republicans are be calling the shots no matter what lol.

Yes, PERSON OF THE YEAR for taking the deficit of the Country to unprecedented level. When was the last time any of the Liberal media criticized Obama?
We no longer have free press in this Country. We might as well be living in a Country where the Press is Government controlled.

This is proof that Time's award means nothing and is as meaningful as anyone that I may designate as the person of the year...

....and deservedly so. Congrats Mr. President. I give you a lot of credit for dealing with a GOP/Tea a Tard party that hates you and America. Well, the actual America is on your side,...not the hapless, bigoted, racist, educationally challenged, toothless hillbillies the Re-dumblicans call america.

    @ J'Cincinnati'Redd and Ray (E) Georgia......

Come on now quit wetting your pants and complaining. You ever heard of the 1st amendment "Freedom of Speech"??? Time Magazine has a right to make the President the Person of the Year. Are you upset either of you didn't get picked ??? Oh wait, you only believe in the 2nd amendment the right to mow down 6 and 7 year olds. Grow up and quit spending ever hour of your day criticizing the 44th President of this Country.

While I largely support Obama it would sure be nice if he actually achieved something – close Guantanamo, end the Afghan war, raise taxes on the rich, stop the insane drug war.... he doesn't seem to have the balls to do any of this.. it's so disappointing.
