An inter-agency process to develop policy.....which really means; I'll use my appointed talking heads to restrict constitutional rights of the 2nd ammendment through the adaption of policy approved and created via intentional circumvention of our congresional houses. Oh, and I need more of your tax payer dollars of course...cha ching!

What inter-agency process?? Just sign the bill on Gun-Control law. I am very confident of you, because you are like me who is wel-versed of law. Coerce congress to put forth the bill....

If you want your kid's teacher "armed and dangerous" then I strongly suggest home schooling, or a private academy that employs mercenaries. I do not want my child in such an explosive environment.

As for as new legislation goes, what we need is "gun owner control" bills because it has been proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that gun owners are not only irresponsible, but full of denial. The shooter's mother was irresponsible with her weapons not because she was not trained or aware, but more because there exists no criminal penalty to be more responsible.

Many 2nd Amendment proponents point to the ease with which illegal weapons can be purchased on the black market. Such statements are in complete denial and total ignorance of the fact of HOW those weapons came to be on the black market in the first place. I can assure with 100% confidence that the weapons on the black market were not initially purchased by those seeking to ban assault rifles.

The black market weapons were purchased by the pro-gun enthusiasts, not the anti-gun crowd. How they came to be on the black market is why we need "gun owner control" legislation.

I'm sure the dems will find a way to circumvent our congressional leaders to enact knee jerk policies to appease the ill informed.

What his minions miss is that Obama is more like Eisenhower than any other President. Extremely passive, he lets everyone else fight it out then he swoops in at the end, declares victory and takes credit. Obama isn't 'laying out' anything. He's merely planing in basking the glow.

Mr. President we are behind you. Help us all and our young ones who can not help themselves. Republicans are against distributing wealth, BUT they are eager to distribute guns in the name of "defense"!

Could have done it day one. He had a super majority senate, the house and ran on it. And did nothing.

I felt for you during this conversation. You did an excellent job of presenting and Pratt is obviously wrong. Glad to see some one like yourself has the guts to call a spade a spade.
    1. People have no need for a semi automatic to defend themselves.
    2. What ties to gun manufactures does Pratt have ? must be dollars for him to defend such an insane idea.
    3. We need to stop it today because the gun rights advocates are out there buying up all the weapons. Sales have increased since Friday.
    4. Why is Feinstein talking retroactive? no good as so many are purchasing weapons as we speak.
    5. In the shopping mall incident the semi auto jammed or more would have been dead.
    6. Conceal carry permits regulations are being removed as some states are not requiring competency years after purchase i.g. Ohio
We must ban semi automatic weapons these weapons serve no purpose in the hands of private citizens. Maybe some interviews with Military or Police would shed real light on the situation. Do they want to go up against mobs of citizens with semi automatics?
    7. Did anyone hear what Pratt said about people with mental illness? it was despicable.
This young man although not able to fit in with society was or used to be a quiet kid What Happened? why did his mother teach him or allow him to shoot? No one is addressing the mothers role in this horrible situation.
    Thank you Piers Morgan
