(CNN) - Sarah Palin, who's been listed twice as one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People," is taking issue with the publication's decision to name President Barack Obama as its "Person of the Year."
Poking fun at herself, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said the magazine lacks a certain degree of relevancy.

"Time magazine, I think there's some irrelevancy there to tell you the truth. I mean consider their list of the most influential people in the country and in the world. Some who have made that list? Yours truly. That oughta tell ya something right there regarding the credence we should give Time magazine and their list of people," she said Wednesday on Fox News.
Managing editor Richard Stengel wrote Obama deserved the recognition because he "forged a new majority, turned weakness into opportunity and sought, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union."
But Palin, who along with 2008 GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, lost to the Democratic presidential ticket four years ago, said "those are some silly words chosen to describe Barack Obama."
"When I first heard that, the first thing that popped in my mind was: What the heck has he done? Really, what has he done, except drive us over a fiscal cliff," she said. "What has he done to unify and make our nation a more perfect union? For the life of me, I don't know."
The former Alaska governor was chosen as one of the magazine's most influential people in 2009 and held a top spot on the same list in 2010. She was also considered one of four runners-up for "Person of the Year" in 2008, when Obama first received the title, and as someone "who mattered" in 2010.
She argued that "the path towards a perfect union is our Constitution" but said Obama "sees it as a charger of negatives" that needs serious changes.
Palin stoked speculation for much of 2011 as she considered a presidential bid but ultimately decided to stay out of the running. She largely stayed out of the presidential race, instead choosing to campaign for conservative Senate candidates in GOP primary battles.

Well, there were better choices, like The Twinkie!!
Sarah Palin who?
That's funny...I was just watching the Katie Couric interview of Sarah Palin last night....why are we still seeing this moron in the news. She was in no way influential only gave us great comedic material.
Palin: On a par with the Kardashians in total national imortatnce. Actually, the Kardashian's are probably more meaningful to more Americans than Plain, I mean Palin.
She is just upset because she missed out on being MAD magazine nut job of the year

"Now that Republicans have a serious proposal that would pass the House and would seem to meet the requirements Democrats previously insisted on, Reid won't permit a vote."
So, who is the real party of "no?" Republicans keep putting up bills and Reid keeps "tabling" them, not even allowing a vote. The obstructionist party has been the democrats all along. Yeah, Yeah, the left does not like what is in the bills, but that does not matter in whether or not to allow a vote.

There has to be somthing worthwhile in the bill that ends up putting us onto a path of fiscal sanity. Making yet another pathetic attempt to label millionaires as a persecuted class, an approach that has been resoundingly rejected by voters in this country, is not a serious attempt at solving the problem, but it is another example of the GOP's alternate universe, where they think they actually hold the cards. Redistricting is the only thing that saved the GOP in the House, but not for long.
Good Grief, people. She made fun of herself. Lighten up a bit. Of course, she will criticize Obama's policies, as he will the Republicans. That is political debate and has been the story of us since the revolution. The same politicians who criticize one another today are having lunch together tomorrow. It is part of the political game. Take it all with a grain of salt. I enjoyed her humor on this one.
If I wanted to hear an intelligent opinion from a Palin, it would be from Trig.
Why does the news media still cover such a hateful person. She adds nothing helpful to the problems in america. What next, start covering charles mansons rants from the state prison in California.
Jealousy, thy name is Palin
Wishing Sarah had something relevant to say .... but alas, no!
Yeah, I'm sure this is one of the "THINGS" on Palin's reading list. I doubt she subscribes to TIME, just probably like all the other political whackos out there that jumps on the bandwagon of the day.
I don't understand why the media continues to give this ridiculous woman any publicity. In doing so, they give her the attention she craves and add relevance to her absurd statements. It makes me cringe to think that by a series of unfortunate events, she could have been the occupant of the highest office in this country.
Palin and the trolls bashing Obama are sore bitter losers. End of story.
Palin is right – for once. Anybody who ever took her seriously cannot be taken seriously.
Can we please be done with her now?
Palin is absolutey correct. All Obama has succeeded in doing is dividing this country, made an art of lying and blaming, and hoodwinked the American people to lead us to ruin. Time Magazine screwed this one up.
Please, ALL news outlets, let it go. She is not important in any way, except to her family. It's past time giving this person several shots at her 15 minutes. Done. Over. Go.
I have used condoms that were as thin as Sarah Palin's resume. Felt like I was wearing nothing at all!
Sarah Palin questioning anyone's relevancy is like Mel Gibson questioning someone's anger management skills.
i don;t blame her for tring to make the head lines its this crazy news media that keeps putting her and her dumb ideas she is just a loser and the media won't let her die.
One thing is certain. Caribou Barbie will never receive a Person of the Year Award from Time magazine, although she may make the cover of Mad magazine some day.
And this is news because....? Why is Palin relevant to anyone or anything? Oh yea, that's right, she isn't. Stop running news stories about this whack job!
And who did you think it would be, Sarah? You?
The Real Tom Paine- Obama has NO intention of ever observing a path to sanity. Spend, Spend, Spend and then find someone else to demonize into contributing more money for him to spend is the only goal he has!
