(CNN) - Sarah Palin, who's been listed twice as one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People," is taking issue with the publication's decision to name President Barack Obama as its "Person of the Year."
Poking fun at herself, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee said the magazine lacks a certain degree of relevancy.

"Time magazine, I think there's some irrelevancy there to tell you the truth. I mean consider their list of the most influential people in the country and in the world. Some who have made that list? Yours truly. That oughta tell ya something right there regarding the credence we should give Time magazine and their list of people," she said Wednesday on Fox News.
Managing editor Richard Stengel wrote Obama deserved the recognition because he "forged a new majority, turned weakness into opportunity and sought, amid great adversity, to create a more perfect union."
But Palin, who along with 2008 GOP presidential nominee Sen. John McCain, lost to the Democratic presidential ticket four years ago, said "those are some silly words chosen to describe Barack Obama."
"When I first heard that, the first thing that popped in my mind was: What the heck has he done? Really, what has he done, except drive us over a fiscal cliff," she said. "What has he done to unify and make our nation a more perfect union? For the life of me, I don't know."
The former Alaska governor was chosen as one of the magazine's most influential people in 2009 and held a top spot on the same list in 2010. She was also considered one of four runners-up for "Person of the Year" in 2008, when Obama first received the title, and as someone "who mattered" in 2010.
She argued that "the path towards a perfect union is our Constitution" but said Obama "sees it as a charger of negatives" that needs serious changes.
Palin stoked speculation for much of 2011 as she considered a presidential bid but ultimately decided to stay out of the running. She largely stayed out of the presidential race, instead choosing to campaign for conservative Senate candidates in GOP primary battles.

I cannot stand this airhead!
That said, it is as ridiculous that Obama was voted as Person of the Year for the second time as it was for him to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize less than 2 months of office.
There are so ma many more deserving people, every day people who do extraordinary things. The heroic teachers who protected their children in Newtown come to mind.
Sounds like sour grapes. Palin wouldn't know class if she tripped over it. Nor grace.
"What has he done to unify and make our nation a more perfect union? For the life of me, I don't know."
ROFL! Who on earth would *expect* her to understand?
Obama was a lazy choice for Time... (could care less about Palin). The media made him, the media got him re-elected, the media owns him. There isn't much he has really done himself. Meanwhile, there is the young Pakinstan girl who survived all odds in the brutal attempt on her life... war heroes surviving quadruple amputations to go on to be fund raisers and motivational speakers to help their fellow brothers still fighting the battles... etc. How about Gabby? All more interesting, and more productive that would make far more interesting stories.
Why the media continues to think this money grubbing right wing radical is relevant is beyond me....... She's still sore she didn't win 4 years ago. But, hey, she's done alright and still is. She makes 10's of thousands of dollars in speaking engagements not to count what she makes being on FAUX News........
Too funny!!! Apparently Sarah hasn't gotten over him being picked over her in 2008. Ms. Palin, you were a joke from the minute John McCain marched you out on stage to be his "token" woman. I know you don't really have any dignity left, but why don't you pretend like you do and just go back under the rock from which you came?
Here's what REALLY scares me... MANY people supported her in 2008. I guess there really ARE a lot of stupid people in the US.
I just scanned through nearly all of the 100 plus comments so far and amazingly, I didn't see even one in favour of Palin. I guess she has worn out her welcome.
America – you're getting smart again! Congrats!!
Sara Palin please go some place. We are tired of this hate and bickering. There is more to life than
these racist Republicans promote every day. The world has changed get used to it.
The Wasilla Hillbilly needs to shut her yap.
Get over it you twit; you are NO LONGER important or have any relevancy in US politics, as much as you think that you do!
It seems the GOP and Sarah Palin have "dumbed down" America enough for the rest of us and the next 100 years.
This is a lady (?) that just needs to go away.
Hello Pot, meet kettle concerning relevancy. Regardless of whether you are republican, tea party, democrat... etc... the majority agrees she's nuts. She has no place in today's political world. Of all people who claim anyone played off the dumbing down of America she has no place to talk. Who in their right mind elects a 'hockey mom' who has a poster perfect dysfunctional family with absolutely no foreign policy experience.
Sarah Palin and the rest of the Republican clowns were the best thing for Democrats. Go Palin.
I'm still trying to figure out what "a charger of negatives" could possibly be. C'mon you guys, if you're going to print this grade school drop out's musings the least you could do is supply some footnotes and definitions. Is she referring to a battery, a knight's horse, what?
"...Kardashian of Politics"....I like that.
Sarah Palin....trying to stay relevant.
hey Sarah – It's not the magazine, but you, who "lacks a certain relevancy". (& who taught you that multi-cylible word anyhow??)
Governor Sarah Palin is once again SPOT ON! .....liberals are narcissistic and mentally ill!
SARAH, , , YOU CRACK ME UP
If I was known as the person who could NOT list a single book, magazine, journal, or novel that I've ever read, then I would keep my mouth shut for fear of reminding people of my lack of intellectual curiosity.
Remember, four years ago while running as John McCain's V.P. candidate, journalist Katie Couric queried Sarah about things she may have read; and Sarah Palin could not name a single book, magazine, or journal. To make matters worst, Sarah became frustrated and indignant regarding Katie's softball questions and falsely claimed the questions were designed to make her look stupid.
Petty words from a petty child.
"What the heck has he done? "
All the very big things that you guys hate so much....the ACA, forcing the GOP/Teatrolls into an inescapable corner on tax increases for the wealthy, repeal of DADT, ending Iraq successfully, Lilly Ledbetter Act, protecting women's contraceptive and reproductive choices, there's a bin Laden at the bottom of the sea, saving the car industry from collapse, successfully administrating TARP, winning a second term and overcoming 4 years of the politics of personal destruction and scorched earth from the GOP/Teatrolls, turned the economy around and saved us from a major economic depression, improved our foreign relations with numerous countries, successfully helped Libya overthrow Qaddaffi without putting boots on the ground, appointed two sane and reasonable SCOTUS justices (with more to come hahahaha), rewnewwed the START Treaty to help end nuclear proliferation and get nuclear materials under control....the list goes on and on. If he had done "nothing," you'd have nothing to complain about, Jabberwocky Barbie, so do us all a favor and stop runnign your hick twit mouth.
Sarah Palin lacks all common sense, but she got one thing right she is and will ever be irrelevant. She will proudly go down in History as one of the dumbest people ever elected into any office. The people of Alaska must all of had some sort of brain freeze when they seriously elected a nincompoop as Governor
Isn't it amazing that it's the bible-thumbin', gun totin', bunker livin', anti-compromisin', paranoid delusionals who are the ones yelling, screaming, and complaining about how more divisive our politicis are becoming? Now. If the shoe fits, wear it.
She seems to have gone from a quasi "public servant", as in got elected up in Alaska and worked a short time as Governor, to being sort of a grifter/ hustler. Always trying to be on TV – with her failed shows – and obviously very well thought-out beforehand, but supposedly impulsive and sincere, comments for the press... As well as having a family which is now reduced to "carny" status on the boob tube (my apologies to carnival workers.)
Palin has long overstayed her welcome. Jessica Simpsons "chicken of the sea" comment is pure genius when compared to some of the things Palin says. An embarrassment to the GOP and this country.
