(CNN) - For all the stalemate in the fiscal cliff negotiations, there were some heated moments, too.
A Democratic source familiar with one particular exchange told CNN that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell were sitting on a sofa in the White House.

House Speaker John Boehner breezed in and his first words to Reid were "Go f*** yourself."
Boehner's comment came after Reid took to the Senate floor on Thursday and characterized the House speaker's handling of his chamber as a "dictatorship."
Reid responded to Boehner's confrontational tone by laughing, the Democratic source said, though a GOP source who was there said he didn't think Reid was all that happy.
"The exchange continued, and it didn't get any better for Reid," the GOP source said.
Boehner's office had no comment on the exchange when asked about it Wednesday.
Both men described the moment to members of their caucus.
The exchange happened at the White House on Friday - the day the four Capitol Hill leaders, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi - met with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner.
On Wednesday, after news of the comment emerged, Reid said on the Senate floor that "unlike others behind us in this Capitol, I'm not going to stoop to name calling. I just want people to work and do what they need to do." Politico first reported Boehner's comment.
Hours after the meeting on Friday, he described it as "constructive."
"There was not a lot of hilarity in the meeting, everyone knows how important it is," Reid said. "It was a very serious meeting and it took an extended period of time."

"dictatorship" in his chamber, the House speaker responded with a
profanity.
"Go f— yourself," Boehner said to Reid, according to a source with knowledge of the exchange in a White House lobby.
Hahahahahaha. What's the matter bhoener? The truth hurts huh?!

Wow that Boehner is mean when he missescocktail hour. Maybe if you hadn't wasted 4 days on plan B, you could have gotten a better deal. Don't blame Mr. Reid and the Senate for your failure to lead the do nothing Congress.

The Republican strategy to win the White House in 2012 was to spend four years launching torpedoes at the economy. Now, for 2016, the Republican strategy to win the White House is to continue launching torpedoes at the economy. The only way Republicans can win the White House is to destroy the economy and stymie growth, otherwise, they will never win again. Republicans do not represent their constituents. Republicans represent themselves and the rich. Period.
So if Reid calld Boehner a 'dictator' on the floor of the Senate, its ok.But in the confines, off camra, in the White House, Broehner drops the F-bomb then its how dare he. Interesting logic Mr Reid uses. Fits with how he runs the Senate.

Boehner has had a total meltdown. He has no business being in any position of power. Shame on the people of his district for hoisting him on the rest of the country.
Children acting like children. The problem isn't liberalism or conservatism. It is the social immaturity in both parties that makes Congress look like a collection of dry drunks who are incapable of examining themselves honestly or accepting responsibility for their mistakes. Both parties have squandered our wealth and both parties spend most of their time looking for scapegoats. If a true leader ever emerges who has the humility to acknowledge the failings of his/her own party, I predict our divided country will come together in overwhelming numbers to support that person.

The people in his district are either completely snowed or just plain stupid. They re-elected this goof! He should be exiled to the areas affected by Hurricane Sandy, & left to deal with the victims there after he screwed them over by not bothering to call a vote on the Sandy Relief Bill. Boehner shows his true self. When a spoiled adolescent can't handle it anymore, he turns to vulgarity. This is the leader of the GOP? All he does is 1.) Say NO 2.) Cries and 3.) Swears.
Boehner is totally frustrated by the tea party caucus in the House. How would you feel if you were speaker of the House but didn't have control of it? I'll make the right mad but Pelosi could get things passed. This House is the least productive ever and Boehner can't control them.
So they have Clint Eastwood as their star speaker at the convention and yet they do not follow his advice. Remember, he can't do that to himself. Lovely!
If memory serves, Clint Eastwood's empty chair said the same thing about the president, so apparently Boehner is using Clints chair as his media advisor. Or perhaps republicans and their chairs have a thing for this sort of discourse when they don't get their way 100%.

What a world class bum that boehner. He fires duly elected GOP representatives from committees because they dare vote their own way, he refused to bring to a vote, billions of dollars in aid to Super Storm Sandy victims, now he uses profane language against a sitting U.S. Senator. Boehner is out of control at best, out of his ever loving mind at least. The world does not revolve around him and his cronies with their circus act of arrogance. This guy represents all that is wrong with Washington today.
