Washington (CNN) - Just hours after taking office, the new House of Representatives reinstated a team of ethics investigators that had faced what seemed like a certain death due to lawmakers' inaction.
Overshadowed by the recent fiscal cliff hubbub, lawmakers from the last session had neglected to decide whether or not to renew the Office of Congressional Ethics. Last week, CNN reported on the concerns among public interests groups that lawmakers were purposely trying to kill the OCE through their inaction to avoid future ethics investigations.
Etic committee has not been doing its job. Know abusers are still on the HIll!
Ethics, morality, national pride and feelings for this nation are totally LOST in this nation. Greed is rampant and prevalent in every nook end of the corners especially in HOSPITALS all across the nation–only solution is PRICE-FIXING. To thse hospitals. These idiots are using foreign Doctors nevertheless there are plenty of US MDs, PAs, DOs etc. stop it.
kind of an oxymoron don't you think???
The OCE needs a LOT more enforcement authority. Having to refer its findings to the two ethics committees is a joke.
Ethics are non-existent in the Congress.
Oh, goody. Fox meet henhouse... and get paid for it!
The best ethics committee is a free press and an informed public full of active voters! That will scare the hell out of congress.....
Why does Congress need an "Ethics Committee" when "We the People" are the judge of approving or disapproving what happens in Washington or why aren't the Justices handling these ethic investigataions. I'm sick and tired of Congress and their mob style "inside jobs".
