Bill Clinton jokes about Hillary's future

(CNN) - Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may not know her plans for the future, but her husband certainly pictures her being around for a long, long time.

Talking about her recent health setback, former President Bill Clinton said his wife will be just fine and boasted of her "low blood pressure" and "standing heartbeat."

"I tell her…she's still got time to have three more husbands after me," he joked. "So I think she'll live to be 120."

"I always know that she's thinking about that," he continued. "Whenever I'm stubborn about something, in her constant quest in my self-improvement, she refers to me as her first husband."

His comments came while speaking at his second annual "Health Matters: Activating Wellness in Every Generation" conference in Palm Springs, California.

Hillary Clinton was recently sidelined by illness, a concussion and a blood clot near her brain, for which she was hospitalized. The secretary of state returned to work last week.

She plans to step down from her post as soon as her successor is confirmed. Speaking publicly for the first time since being sick, she told reporters last week she's not sure what comes next but added she'll be stepping "off the very fast track for a little while."

Referring to questions about a potential 2016 presidential bid, her husband said Tuesday his advice "is that she should rest up and decide what she wants to do with the rest of her life."

– CNN's Ashley Killough contributed to this report.

Does anybody seriously believe these two lying, incompetent phonies have anything even remotely resembling a marriage? If so, I have some fabulous beachfront property in Kansas I know you'll LOVE!

Bill I like you but seriously why would she want even one more husband, let alone three?

@wake up, So if thats your mentality, its ok to cheat, just another lib with no morals or ethics, the article was about the Clintons not newt , and your the hypocrite so hate yourself
    --------------------------–

so now that you bring "morals and ethics" into it, Newt and Sanford (who is running again) are just SUPER examples of Morals and Ethics from the party of Family Values. If Hillary forgave Bill, then that's that and now you can b#tt out. It's between them. Sanford cheated and his wife took off. Newt cheated and his hospital-bound wife ended up dying. As for Bengazzi, she willbe in front of the committee later this month so what's your beef? Grow up and stop listening to the sheep herders on AM radio and Fox Noise

No DC Buck I don’t think anyone believes they have a ideal marriage. It is possible they do have not a semblance of a marital relationship at all.

However, I do think that on some level they like each other and respect others’ position, which is more than I can say for numerous people around me everyday who go home to spouses and live a two dimensional charade for coworkers and fellow church members.

A persons marital problems are THEIR problem, not the worlds. I give credit to those who can work through their problems . Hillary would be a great President . Her time will come when it is badly needed. Women can better multi- task then men.

I hope she has a long and healthy retirement, but she needs to avoid high stress jobs. We can't have leadership that use their health as an excuse to avoid their duties.

A Presidsmt needs to have the kind of mind that thinks about each detail within the context of a larger whole. Very few women have that kind of mind, and some men do not either, for example, Jimmy Carter.

I hope she gets well and then I wish she and her husband would just go away. They have been so destructive to this country, it will take generations to recover. Although Mr Obama has sure outdone their corruption.

Hey DCBuck, you sound like a real pleasure to live with. You also sound hateful and biased. They had the chance to go their separate ways and chose to stay together. I would bet that their relationship is stronger than it's ever been and better than most. I also hope that Hillary runs in 2012. She is far more qualified than anyone else in politics today.

Hillary needs to do the right thing and come clean on Benghazi. That's what leaders do. And I don't mean "taliking points", or security funding cuts are numbers of security personnel assigned. I want to know who gave the STAND DOWN ORDER. We should have had jets overhead within the first hour; C-130 gunships within an 1 hour 30 minutes and helicopters within 2 hours. Those SEALS fought for 7 hours. Somebody called this off and that is the real crime. And if it was called off because of politics – they should be prosecuted.

============================================================================================== Were you outraged when Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld cherry-picked intelligence to start the Iraq War? We know it was done because of the way they outed Valerie Plaime in revenge for her husband exposing their dishonesty. Over 4500 Americans died and tens of thousands wounded. Were you demanding their prosecution? Why not?
