Washington (CNN) – President Barack Obama has picked a neighbor to deliver the closing prayer at the inauguration.
The Rev. Luis León told CNN on Tuesday the White House and the Presidential Inaugural Committee invited him last week to deliver the closing prayer at the 57th presidential inauguration.
I don't know why Obama Just doesn't ask 'ol Joe to see if he can get him IN – all he's got to do is go to R.C.I.A. It's a once a week class, about 2 hrs – for about 4 months or so, so he can cut to the chase, and become a Catholic.
A Progressive church and clergy for the most part. The only controversy would be the traditional conservative veiws on an established religion having women priests and having a openly gay Bishop. Obama's choice reflects the modern view of life and acceptance of people rights to have a committed relationship with whom ever they choose. Good choice Mr President.
When one preacher turn down an invitation another one will accept it, obama have believes an the preacher have theirs. But God have the first an last say in everything.
Who says the President doesn't reach out to everyone?
I am so proud of our wonderful president. I will pray for him too, that he can lead this unruly nation into prosperity. I pray that he can withstand his enemies (the GOP) and help America heal from the last GOP government. America is a great nation and we have a great president.
