Obama motorcade zooms past Bill and Hillary Clinton

(CNN) – People aren't kidding when they say Washington can be a small town.

While President Obama was returning from his daughter's basketball game Sunday, his motorcade sped past Bill and Hillary Clinton as they were walking a dog.

The couple was spotted on Massachusetts Avenue near the British Embassy, just around the corner from their home on Whitehaven Street.

While the outgoing secretary of state is based in Washington, her husband spends a great deal of time in New York, the site of his nonprofit organization The Clinton Foundation.

On a more public scale, they were also seen arm in arm Monday at Obama's inauguration ceremony.

The street sighting comes just hours before a taped interview of Obama and Hillary Clinton - their first joint interview - airs on CBS Sunday night.

- CNN's Kevin Liptak and Ashley Killough contributed to this report.

If Obama had slowed down his motorcade to say hi, Republicans would have accused Obama of blocking the traffic.

I don't think, Bill and Hillary cared. I even doubt it Obama will support her over Biden, if both run for president. Obama is afraid of the Clintons. One is always afraid of those they can't control!
