First on CNN: Conservative group launches ad campaign against Obama

(CNN) - A conservative group formerly known as the Campaign to Defeat Barack Obama is planning an ad buy it says will counteract the advocacy efforts of groups supporting President Barack Obama like his former campaign outfit, now Organizing for Action.

The Conservative Campaign Committee PAC's executive director, Joe Wierzbicki, says the buy "will be low-to-mid six figures" on cable in Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, Ohio and Wisconsin, as well as on national cable. The group is targeting Massachusetts in particular because of the expected special election for the U.S. Senate seat which John Kerry would resign if confirmed as Secretary of State as expected.

"Republicans and conservatives strongly disagree with President Obama on taxes, on spending, on the debt ceiling, on foreign affairs, on immigration, on the 2nd Amendment, and so much more," Wierzbicki said when announcing the ad. "It's time for conservatives and Republicans to start drawing a stark contrast between ourselves and Obama, and differentiate ourselves."

The ad makes a variety of unfounded claims against Obama, such as that he "won't accept any spending cuts" and "outrageously, he's asked doctors to find out what kinds of guns you own, how many, and then report you to the government." The claims largely cite conservative commentators and outlets including radio talk show host Mark Levin, The Daily Caller, and The Washington Examiner.

This group was created by a parent group of Tea Party Express, the Our Country Deserves Better Committee. It has been supported by several political figures popular among conservatives, including Sheriff Joe Arpaio of Arizona's Maricopa County, and Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, better known as "Joe the Plumber."

The ad will begin running on February 2, the group said.

Why would you disagree with the Executive branch on spending?

All spending bills come from the Legislative branch I thought...

And Obama believes in the 2nd amendment. Are they saying they want it repealed or something?

Finally, who the hell is giving these people money this early on?

Did the ‘Campaign to Defeat Obama’ have any ideas of their own – that is besides treating non-whites, non-Christians and women as lower caste human beings and incarcerating rape victims?

""It's time for conservatives and Republicans to start drawing a stark contrast between ourselves and Obama, and differentiate ourselves.""

Cue the Twilight Zone theme song. Seriously? Like conservatives haven't been basically drawing a line in the sand on every single thing Obama has tried to do and every position he has taken? Where has this self-serving dimwit been for the past 4 years? It should be totally mindboggling to anyone with a brain in their head to have watched how the GOP/Teatrolls behaved over the past 4+ years, see the results it's gotten them (loss after loss after loss on issue after issue and massive damage to their brand), and to then see some numbnut ideologu whackadoo come out and say "you know, we haven't done enough of that...we need to do more and do it harder...we haven't even begun to radicalize ourselves yet." What possible feedback can reality provide that would actually sink in for these people? I'm pretty sure the answer is NONE.

Oh, goody for CNN. More conservative dollars coming your way in ad revenue based on useless TP media coverage. I'm one step away from giving up on CNN. If I wanted 24/7 conservative talking points, I'd go to FOX News. I don't want it, though. For a reason. All conservative talk does is leave me filled with too many "doom and gloom clouds" hanging over me day after day. Seriously. It's not a healthy way to live.

They forget about two wars not on the books and the pork that the GOP states received from the goverment. The GOP/TP KKK Klan are a hoot. They only have selective memory. 2014 can't come fast enough. It is time that we shut these clowns down. Come out in droves mid term and vote these fools out. They don't know anything about government. All they see is a paycheck which we pay for and freebies from lobbyist. Let's shut them down. It is really funny how they can find money for all these stupid attack ads, but when it comes to our nation they can't find any. Nothing but hypocrits!!!!!!!!!!

IIt's about time!!! Time to expose this fraud for who he really is and what he has really done!! Mainstream media has the un-informed public by the brain and they need some education! Expat really?? Where has anyone treated non-whites, non-Christians and woman as lower caste?? Seems to me all Obama has done is submit those to a lower caste with the expanded welfare, expanded food stamps, baby murdering, trampling on right of christians, etc. Where are the jobs?? Only jobs can lift people out of poverty! Maybe you love giving away your freedom to have the government take care of you on my dime but I'm not going to take it anymore!

Aren't they part of the new movement to redraw election district boundaries so that only white, low tax paying, republican votes count?

Do they actually think that no one has noticed-for over two years now, and counting-that while they complain about debt and deficits, their own 'budget wonk", Paul Ryan, had put out a a budget plan that didn't balance for at least 30 years? Well, after two years, I think they finally did notice it for themselves.

Now Ryan claims his new "Ryan Plan 2013" budget will balance in 10 years. Yet Ryan is still unable to provide details or any specific numbers as to how that would be done. I know the Tea Party House Republicans have been demanding a balanced budget within a decade, but have no idea on how to get it done, just as long as it gets done without touching Defense.

If they think that an austerity budget is the solution, then they need to look at the troubled economies in Europe. England has enacted austerity measures and suffered a double dip recession. So, what did they do about it? They enacted even more austerity cuts and are now looking at the prospect of a triple dip recession. They're starving and contracting their own economy right out of existence. Yet somehow they think that they are helping it.

Those types of austerity measures and polices are what conservatives wish to enact here in the US. Although Republicans will deny that their policies are austerity, they claim the draconian cuts to be stimulative and will increase prosperity. Why won't they conform to their formerly sacred "will of the American people" who resoundingly rejected their brand of conservatism in 2012?

Obama has been a terrible president. Completely divisive.

You can see that by looking at the comments written here.

What a shame there is so much division in our country.

Hey, didn't you hear? Our TeaPers are nothing if not comatose. Seems as if Conservatives are still trying to make President Obama a one term(er). I suspect it's the recycled FOX News repeats they watch over and over and over and over again. Best propaganda money can buy.

"deficits don't matter" says the previous administration which was handed a surplus. By the way look it up but Obama has cut MORE off of the current deficit than both of the previous presidents have done. But if you only watch FoxNews you wouldn't know that.
