Senate panel gets classified drone document from Obama

Washington (CNN) - The Senate Intelligence Committee received a classified document on Thursday that seeks to justify the administration's policy of targeting Americans overseas via drone attacks, a congressional aide told CNN.

The document was demanded by lawmakers, mainly Democrats concerned about secrecy in national security decisionmaking, ahead of a hearing later in the day on the nomination of John Brennan to become the next CIA director.

I follow some left leaning reporters on Twitter and they are raising some disturbing questions about Benghazi. Perhaps former Secretary of State Clinton might need to come back before Congress and answer a few more questions.

Straight and to the point! That's my girl! Any questions?! LOL!

Hey, there. We COULD follow the Fair is Fair logic of fighting amongst ourselves over whether or not al-Awlaki deserved his American due process rights prior to being killed. Thing is, I can't get past how we mirandize terrorists prior to killing them. Dropping down "you have the right to remain silent" leaflets before we attack probably isn't going to work. Ah, well...

What to do. What to do...

You have to admire Bush and the republicans for one thing: Right or wrong, they stood steadfast and did what they believed in. So, yeah, they were often wrong, and we are still paying the price, in dollars and in unfinished wars. But they stood steadfast.

Let our President fight his war. If a U.S. citizen is fighting on behalf of terrorist groups, kill them the same as any other terrorist. Is this War, or what??

Remember, many Dems at Obama's side were against killing Bin Laden. Thankfully, our President did the right thing.

Some want Congressional Oversight over drone attacks.

    Here's how it works:
Obama: Say, guys, we got this terrorist leader under target; need to blast him!!

Congressional leader: Yeah, sure. But we gotta name these 2 post offices, vote again against abortions and ObamaCare, then take a ten day recess. We'll get back to ya.

Crickets. What did they say that you found so "disturbing"?
Is it top secret? It's not like we can google their comments.

It is soooo comforting to know that some faceless bureaucrats may issue death sentences to American citizens without due process of law or any sort of review. What ever happened to trying somebody in abscentia?

And to think this is being done under the same person, Obama, that crucified the Bush administration about waterboarding a few known AQ terrorists to get intellligence. Unbelieveble.

President Bush and his policies are what lead to the location of Bin Laden – and his demise. You don't have your facts straight – you just hate Bush. And, you have been brainwashed by the Obama adminsitration. He never would have found him without Bush's efforts leading up to that day. Mission accomplished.

How are people still calling Obama a liberal? He has a license to assassinate Americans, he's keeping America's prison camp (Gitmo) open and running, he's trying to get drones in our own country. Horrible. Just horrible.

It is indicative of your general lack of knowledge. If you want to push the point, were no AC-130 gusnhips on standby in theater? The two SEALs who were killed had a laser designator and were illuminating the mortar team that was causing most of the damage. The same mortar team that ultimately was responsible for the death of the two SEALs.

Late in his Presidency, Bill Clinton launched a cruise missile attack on Bin laden. They were a few hours late. Time is of the essence in these matters. Let the President lead.

(I remember seeing the report of a Bush speech around May, 2001: " I'm not wasting million dollar cruise missiles blowing up tents in the desert". If only.)

    To 'freedom':

" President Bush and his policies are what lead to the location of Bin Laden – and his demise. "

Bush himself said he didn't care about getting Bin laden. He (Bush) had his chances. (Bin laden had no chance, once we got a REAL President in office.)

It was the policies and interrogation techniques under the Bush admin. that lead to the intelligence of where Bin laden was. Bush's term ended before the location was found – it took years – but started in the Bush admin. Obama ironically demonizes the policies that eventually lead to the moment he claims to be his. He's a REAL fake.
