Washington (CNN) – Eight weeks after the massacre of 20 Connecticut first-graders, a ban on the kind of semi-automatic rifle used by the killer remains elusive - if not impossible.
Such a ban became a rallying cry for victims' families, advocacy groups and politicians supporting tougher gun laws in the emotional aftermath of the Newtown shootings in December.
Gun-Ban law is a dire need for this nation. Period.
This is America. Majority Rules. We expect an UP-or-DOWN vote in the Congress on these matters including the assault weapons ban.
Harry Reid, you are not going to run nor win again. Go out with some dignity and stop cow-towing to the NRA.
No thanks gurgyl. Too many out of control criminals running rampant in this nation, many illegals included. Thats what happen when the feds dont enforce the law to improve their politcal standing/agenda. When agencies try to go after these criminals the ACLU, NAACP, illegal alien groups take them to court wasting even more precious resources and diverting attention from the real criminal activity. LOCK AND LOAD BABY.
1,644 Americans are dead since Dec. 14th because of gun violence. We need background checks, registration and licensing.
Guns guns what about the guns nothing no one can do about how people are getting guns. People are shooting an killing people all over the world an nothing no one is during the police can either.
Hello, the criminals killing people don't give a damn about checks and registrations. It will only help in a small number of cases. Mental health changes and stronger jail sentences are the only things that will make a real difference. These thugs get their guns from the streets. Look at the gang thugs in Chicago-they have strong laws and look at all the killings.
