Chicago (CNN) – Two street gang members have been arrested and charged in the killing of the young Chicago honor student whose death after her appearance at an event before the inauguration of President Barack Obama shocked the nation, a police source told CNN on Monday.
The men face one charge of murder and two charges of attempted murder, the source told CNN.
I hope (if guilty) ,they both live to be very old men with offspring and one day, someone does this to one of their children or grandchildren. Right away, they'll remember her death and how much they hurt her mother and all those who loved her and feel the pain those people are feeling now.
Isn't it amazing what law enforcement can do when they are motivated?? And allocate the seriously limited funds.
If the dems want to seriously cut down on gun violence, they need to focus on people who use guns for violence and not on the type of gun used. if for no other reason than that you alienate so many people for the little good done.
How many guns did Timothy McVeigh use?
Good, these gangs need to be shut down and destroyed!!!!!!
Mrs. Obama bringing victims of shootings. Some rethug rep is bringing nugent with him.
See the difference between the parties? Wasn't nugent suppsoed to be dead or in jail by now? What happened? He chickened out!?!?!?
Put them UNDER the jail.
Black on Black crime,as well as gang-related crimes/murders needs to be handled at the local level in the communities where it occurs, by the people affected by these crimes and the perpetrators; by Black men, Latino men, White men who need to step up and take control and responsibility.
NOT by the President of the United States whether he be Barack Obama or someone else.
This does NOT belong on the President's plate, he is the President of the United States not just Chicago. He has been setting the example from his HOME, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., as to what a real man looks like and acts like, with his family, with his community, and with the world. If these knuckleheads choose to ignore that, then that's on them.
It is time for communities and community leaders to seriously address this issue, and they should be able to count on local and state support to see their efforts through.
I'm sick to death of the violence and the new trend of "the President needs to fix this".
WE need to handle our communities business.
