Washington (CNN) - President Barack Obama delivers the first State of the Union address of his second term on Tuesday.
Here are five things to watch for as the president lays out his second-term agenda:
I'll be "watching" for outbursts from the audience, particulary from those sitting among the Republicans. That "you lie" outburst was not isolated. He had been yelling that during several applauses. Go back and listen to the tapes if you wish. He had yelled it at least 3 times within a minute prior to being caught on a limb as a lone voice.
That's where my focus will be because you have to ask yourself: Why would a Republican invite this man of all people to the State of the Union Address of a President that he's basically threatened?
Who does that and why?
Have the Republicans found in Ted Nugent their new SOTU Joe Wilson?
This is what I'm thinking. I don't put anything past these bastar...people.
He is the angriest president this country has ever seen. Look at the picture. Screaming, pointing fingers, campaigning, brainwashing, manipulative, hateful.
I would like him to touch on a little on many subjects but focus on the need for investments in infrastructure (bridges, roads, and communications technologies) and education whilch show plans for the future. Without those, we will fall further behind other countries.
Every Obama speech includes two things – blaming others (was Bush – now GOP) and increased revenue or investment. More spending or investment is what they call it in Washington if thats not laughable. We don't get any return on what we send to DC – its just a black hole of waste. He just raised taxes and already he is after more money. Spender and Chief.
