Marco Rubio's dry mouth moment

(CNN) - Sen. Marco Rubio stopped for a drink during the GOP response to the State of the Union - and the moment immediately went viral.

Even Rubio himself acknowledged the awkward break in his speech on Twitter.

Others on Twitter ribbed the Florida senator for stopping his speech to reach for the water bottle.

Rubio went from wiping sweat from the side of his head, smacking and licking his lips, to taking gulps of water during his all important Republican response to the nation on national television. All true signs of lying!

It was really weird when it happened, but it was admittedly smart of him to be self deprecating immediately with this tweet.

He does sound like an amateur, reading a long list of items from a pre-prepared laundry list. Did he hear the same State of the Union speech that the rest of us did? Seriously.

didn't bother to look at Rubio The GOPs are just a circus now. sitting there looking like kids who are being ignored. They have no grounds for their beliefs. What an embarrassment to this country. They are very sad.

This man dedicated his speech to the issue of welfare. Welfare? Really? The US spent $650 BILLION dollars last year alone on defense, but do you think this Republican sheister would ever mention that?

No, of course not. Rubio wants to mention only the SECOND biggest piece of the pie, because it's not the one that earns his cronies BILLIONS of dollars in business every year. Freaking. Disgusting.

Something as unimportant as a drink of water goes viral. And the water drinker posts it on Twitter... Welcome to the state of our union. Sheesh!

President Obama and the democrats do no wrong. Republicans can't do anything right. I love the media.

If he's the future of the GOP, the party is in serious trouble. He looked and sounded scared to death.

Rubio was an embarassment and is proof that the Tea Party has damaged the Republican Party for several decades to come.

Excuse me, but this guy has no clue what poverty is or starting off from nothing is like, and he wants to represent the middle class and poor? Does he not come from a rich family? Huh? Get real. As an American Mexican Veteran, I would even think so stupid to allow this moron to support my people (Americans). I grew poor and I mean poor, like eating from trash bins to survive because we had nothing when I was a child. My mother worked as a maid to support 12 of us, and if it was not for our father we would not have made it, a Kroean war veteran. This shmuck has no clue what middle class is because he's never lived thast life nor does he know what it's like to be brought up poor . BO has been there and he knows what he is talking about. Borther you do not know what a real Hispainc is in this Country, don't try to buy our support. Go back to bed with rich fat cats that got oyu where you are.
