(CNN) – Sen. Marco Rubio continued to poke fun at himself Wednesday morning after his now-famous sip of water made a big splash during the Republican response to the State of the Union.
"God has a way of reminding us that we're human, every now and then," Rubio said in Spanish on CNN en Español's "Café."

Rubio could be seen wiping drips of sweat off his face a few times during his response Tuesday night. Then at one point, he paused and lunged sideways–still looking at the camera–to grab a small bottle of water and take a swig.
The junior senator from Florida gave his 15-minute address shortly after taping the same speech in Spanish. But, Rubio said Wednesday, he didn't "need the water then."
"This only happened in English!" Rubio joked, adding that his mouth "was very dry from speaking so much."
"These things happen," he continued.
The senator himself acknowledged the awkward break on Twitter after the speech, and the moment instantly went viral.

"It's famous now," Rubio said, referring to the photo of the water bottle that spread quickly online. "And I think they've given that company a lot of publicity."
The water company said they've indeed seen an "enthusiastic response" Wednesday.
"We are delighted that in Senator Rubio's moment and need of refreshment, Poland Spring was right there on hand for him. Just like millions know, water is a great refresher. We think he had a great sense of humor about it all," said Poland Spring spokesperson Jane Lazgin told CNN.
Asked about the thirsty episode on a separate morning news show, Rubio jokingly reached over–out of the shot–to grab a water bottle and take a sip.
"I needed water. What am I going to do, you know?" he said on ABC's "Good Morning America."
On CBS' "This Morning," Rubio was asked if the he needed water because he was nervous.
"No, when you talk a lot, it happens," he said.
During speeches with podiums, he added, speakers normally have some water right there in front of them.
"When you're standing up in front of a camera, you don't have that option," he said. "It had been a long day at work. I already taped an 18-minute speech in Spanish, so I'm just glad the water was nearby, I don't know what I would have done without it."

Fight the GOP!
Is that so, Brent?
"You know the liberals turned the heat on when Rubio spoke. The libs will do anything to try and make conservatives look bad. Marco 2016!!!!! "
So, the little idiot taped the speech in a "democratic" studio with a "democratically dominated " film crew?? And they 'turned on the heat?"
That's like taping your RNC convention speech in a studio run by the Iranian state TV... It can't get any dumber!
Well, at least it's getting funnier and funnier... Whoaaa hahahaha
So many Obama sheep here. Rubio said more in 10 minutes than Obama said in an hour.
He looked very nervous and not presidential when he went for the water.
Rubio's speech offered 20th Century responses to 21st Century problems. It feels like the GOP is stuck in first gear.
the only way to move America forward is to vote out every conservative Republican, giving Dems the House and Senate – maybe then things can get done. Until then they will block everything possible and plot ways to steal the 2016 election.
Fact: Hot air causes liquids to evaporate more quickly.
NOW FAMOUS? Really? Is that little sip considered "now famous" like the article suggests. IT JUST HAPPENED YESTERDAY FOR GOD SAKE. IT HASN'T EVEN BEEN 24 HOURS. I guarantee most people don't even know about the damn sip. CNN kills me sometimes.
Educated Latina That Votes
Maybe the latinos will wake up now and see the dems really dont care about them . They only use them to get re elected. Wake up! Socialism doesn't work.

Bahahahahahahaha! And the Republican Party does care about me and the Latino community beyond getting elected into office? Get real and read what you wrote. I'm sure you'll be laughing right along with me. Hahahahahahahaaaa

I can't even believe this is a news story – I also can't believe that people still use "alot" when they are acutally saying a lot. Get a freaking education CNN writers.
