(CNN) - For a second straight day, President Barack Obama will tout proposals from his State of the Union address at a campaign-style event outside Washington, visiting a Georgia pre-school where youngsters still on winter break showed up to mimic a regular day.
Obama's visit to the College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center near Atlanta followed his call in Tuesday night's speech to a joint sitting of Congress for investments in high-quality early childhood education programs.

People can talk about president obama but he does go an visit different states an school. All the white house leaders is during is talking about budget cuts to hurt the poor people, yet them republicans is angry at obama because hes not listeing to them either. Thats right obama take a break from all them clowns.
Great job Mr. President. Government should be for the people. Go talk to them. All the Republicans will want to do is oppose anything you propose. We are tired of it, vote them out of congress in 2014.

The guy is hopeless. His ideas are ridiculous.
You cannot put 4 yr olds into school, without the consent and willingness of parents, because if they are NOT proactive, it will amount to nothing but glorified babysitting and free lunches for the poor. Welfare........nothing more.
While "Study after study shows that the earlier a child begins learning, the better he or she does down the road," when they turn 14 or 16 and get caught in gangstah rappin (or whatever they call it), or get shot by one, well, what you gonna do about THAT?
And, for the record, I live in a predominately black area SE of Atlanta, and I've seen this happen to my neighbors, my friends.This is not 'inner city', this is a middle income black suburb, where parents own their own business, and/or have college degrees.

This man is clearly in over his head. He can't get out of the community organizer mode. It's the "us" against "them" mentality. We're one nation under God. We aren't "us" and "them" He doesn't look at this country as governing all of its people. He has a chip on his shoulder, and an agenda. He is narcissitic – no one wants to see this much of their president – stay in the White House and govern! He is not a leader. He is simply and sadly just a community organizer.

Indeed. And this, right after he has announced that in no uncertain terms, the House will be doing absolutely nothing for the next two years...and CNN, of course, studiously ignored it. Boehner has now literally stated that the GOP/teatroll controlled House will do nothing unless the Senate does it first, playing the game of "let's see what he can get past his Dem-controlled Senate," when he knows very well that anything whatsoever that looks like it might pass will get filibustered by his GOP/Teatroll counterparts in the Senate.

Do you realize that if the programs did not exist? The parent(s) would not be able to afford day care on their minimum wage salaries. They would have to quit work and try to collect welfare, which would be ten times more expensive when you mulitply it by all of the parents and kids involved. Oh yeah, don't forget to throw in welfare support for older, elementary school age kids, too. If the parent cannot afford to work, then those kids would be eligible for welfare.
So, a pre-school center for poor working parents is actually a good investment compared to paying out welfare to all of the separate families that use the facility AND having the parents not working.

Yeah, proposing ideas and then going to the people to generate support for them is just "acting like an angry black man."

Well ... I DID try Ronnie's shinning city on a hill, but the dung piled up knee deep and I got tired of digging through the rotten decay day after day. That, and the lights went out. I hate the darkness. Too gloomy and dreary by far.
Sorry, Obama's constant campaigning doesn't impress me. Liberals can try to redefine it anyway they way, yet it doesn't change the facts. Obama seems to have abandoned the economy. His stimulus has been a disaster, so much so that he has failed to produce a quarterly reports required by law. The last one was in 2011 and showed the situation only getting worse. Is it no wonder why he stopped? I guess liberals don't care about it, but would rather let Obama keep spending money?
