Clinton makes steps toward speaking circuit

(CNN) - As she gets ready to kick off her speaking engagements, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has selected Harry Walker Agency to represent her on the circuit, the company announced on its website.

The same agency represents her husband, former President Bill Clinton, and a host of other high-profile names from politics and media, including former Vice President Al Gore and former Vice President Dick Cheney.

Clinton, who left her post at Foggy Bottom earlier this month, is expected to be a highly-sought speaker with compensation well into the six-figure range per speech. The former secretary of state had signaled she would be staying in the spotlight in her post-Obama administration life.

"I don't know everything I'll be doing. I'll be working on behalf of women and girls, hopefully writing and speaking, those are the things that I'm planning to do right now," she said in an interview with CNN last month.

While she told CNN she has "absolutely not plans to run" for higher office, she has also suggested she hasn't made a decision yet about a 2016 presidential bid. The mystery will only further boost interest in her speaking events and potential book deals.

The speaking circuit can be a highly profitable gig. Her husband, for example, has made more than $89 million in speech income since leaving office.

Politico was the first to report that Hillary Clinton had selected Harry Walker Agency.

– CNN's Ashley Killough and Robert Yoon contributed to this report.

Smart move to stay in the public's eye and consciousness while getting a little rest. The Republican/Tea Party presidential field looks weak with the same old losers. Hillary for President in 2016!

Will her speaking engagements tell us why she and the Obama administration sat on their hands and did nothing while Americans were murdered in Bengazia? Will her speaking engagements explain why this administration couldn't care less why these Americans were murdered or will we have to hear, “What difference, at this point, does it make?!”

Very interesting! I hope that she will tell the truth about Bengazi long before stating she is ready to run again for President, there is a lack of truth and transparency with this administration.

  6. The REAL TRUTH...

@jpmichigan – there is a lack of truth and transparency with this administration.
    ----------------------------------
With all the coverage of everything the POTUS does by foreign owned Faux Noise Entertainment – so the RW nuts can make him look as bad as possible – there seems to be plenty of transparency. Unlike the prior (Republican) adminisistation who was the exact opposite – blowing "active" CIA agents covers, starting 2 unfunded/illegal wars based on facts proven to be completely false, causing the deaths of some 3,000+ Americans, baliing out banks too big to fail initiated by a Republican Treasury Sec.....
in comparison, this administation is an open book.

At least Hillary Clinton took the time to call the leaders in Libya. Obama? Well he couldn't be bothered because he had to get his rest for his campaign fund raiser the next day. He couldn't have cared less that Americans, including our ambassador, were under attack and dying.

ok, so what were her major accomplishements after 4 years of running around the planet? middle east? up in flames in many, many countries. syria? 60,000 dead and counting? iran? still full speed to a nuke. north korea? threatening the usa with missiles. russia and china? still spitting in our faces. 4 years and all that is clear is she got a lot of frequent flier miles.

and please spare all the bs about being more loved and respected through out the world. total malarkey.
