Jindal makes it seven

(CNN) - Make it seven potential GOP White House contenders who will speak at this spring's key gathering of conservatives.

Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana will address the Conservative Political Action Conference next month, the event's sponsor announced Friday.

"Governor Bobby Jindal represents a new generation of governors leading the conservative movement," said Al Cardenas, president of the American Conservative Union. "We look forward to welcoming Governor Jindal back to the CPAC stage and hearing about the many conservative solutions he introduced in Louisiana."

Jinda's a two-term governor and previously served in the U.S. House. He has a national profile as chairman of the Republican Governors Association and will be 45 on Election Day 2016.

Other Republicans who are thought to be considering presidential bids and are on the speaking list include Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida; Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky; Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, who was last year's GOP vice presidential nominee; former Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, who as a 2012 Republican presidential candidate battled Romney deep into the primary calendar; former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush; and Gov. Scott Walker of Wisconsin.

Mitt Romney, the GOP's 2012 presidential nominee, will also be speaking at the conference.

CPAC, which touts itself as the largest annual gathering of conservative leaders and activists, turns 40 this year and will be held March 14-16 at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in Maryland near Washington, D.C.

My son was murdered at the Aurora Theatre shooting I guess you missed that small portion of my note. I was always a loyal supporter but your losing me. I will never see my son on this earth again.
So the Senator responds with a form letter, obviously my son in the Senator’s mind doesn’t count, since the response was a form letter, where is your humanity.

Glad that I wrote about my murdered son and you responded with a form letter about Newton. Your humanity is lacking. I wonder how you would feel if your son was murdered and you got a form letter in return?

Indiana GOP/Teatrolls are passing legislation that will require trans-hoohoo ultrasounds in order to obtain an abortion.

I don't know, GOPers. 2016 is looking like it's going to be a double decker clown car after all. A whole lot of same old, same old ... with a just touch more same old, same old blah, blah, blah to keep you all jumping and skipping, back patting and foot stomping, and ... well, whatever else it takes to keep you folks towing the GOPer line into political extinction.

Does he really think he is going to get any support after called Republicans "the Stupid Party" in public?

Can't wait until these cuts of the sequestration go through. Republicans have already used their public image for target practice. If they thought they took a hit with the fiscal cliff, just wait until this hits. Reduced government services, reduced court access, reduced flight availability with the rest delayed, This ought to be a lot of fun when the shit hits the fan. You'll see even more in-fighting between those Republicans who will be fighting for their political lives and those who don't care. Popcorn anyone?

If one, just ONE GOP politician had the guts and brains to stand up to the Tea Tards and haters, he/she could be the next president. Thank GOD there isn't such a creature out there!

Yes, show everyone in the country how Jindal is ruining the lives of people in Louisiana. I would say take him, we do not want him, but I do not wish him on the whole country.

This Jindal Dude is the most depressing, unimpressive Character the GOP could even think of being a candidate for President. Just when you think you have hit the bottom of the barrel of candidates ,up comes a worst candidate,Santorum shows up .How could a once proud and legitimate GOP group get this hard up for potential candidates. God help this country to get Candidates with integrity from both parties. This list of GOP losers is about as bad as it can get.

The Republican/Tea Party has to do better than the names on this list...the seven potential candidates are hardly prime time material for a presidential run.

A lot of people are afraid of clowns! I'm especially afraid of clowns who call concervatism a "movement" like it's some sort of religion! It certainly seems like it w/all the social morality these people want to legislate! Scary, indeed!!

Wasn't mr. Mardi Gras speaking of the party of stupid not that long ago?
Nothing that the rethugs do will erase what they have said and their thinking in the last 10 years. They are still a bunch of angry, some racist, white men who think women are their possessions, gays can be "cured", immigrants are just votes and practically everyone who is ot a "christian" doesn't belong.
Of course, their idea of a "christian" is so warped that they don't see the harm they are doing to themselves.

SNIFFIT, i am truely sorry for your loss, and i ask you not to let your sons death be in vain, the best way to heal would be to get in the face of every slo b elected official, have someone vidio tape it and blast it to u-tube and the social networking sites, the majority of americans wwill stand by you and help get who ever didd not listen to you out of office. the GOP does not reconize the victimms, they honor the gum makers and the oil companys and the insurance companys, due to the large donations they recieve from them. my prayers for you and your family, and god blesss a safer more peaceful america.
