Full Text: Obama signs order implementing forced spending cuts

(CNN) - President Barack Obama signed as required on Friday evening an order implementing the broad forced federal spending cuts, known in Washington as the sequester. He was required to sign the order before 11:59 p.m.

The Office of Management and Budget sent Congress a required explanation of how much each federal account will be cut.

SEQUESTRATION ORDER FOR FISCAL YEAR 2013 PURSUANT TO SECTION 251A OF THE BALANCED BUDGET AND EMERGENCY DEFICIT CONTROL ACT, AS AMENDED

By the authority vested in me as President by the laws of the United States of America, and in accordance with section 251A of the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act, as amended (the "Act"), 2 U.S.C. 901a, I hereby order that budgetary resources in each non-exempt budget account be reduced by the amount calculated by the Office of Management and Budget in its report to the Congress of March 1, 2013.

Pursuant to sections 250(c)(6), 251A, and 255(e) of the Act, budgetary resources subject to sequestration shall be new budget authority, unobligated balances of defense function accounts carried over from prior fiscal years, direct spending authority, and obligation limitations.

All sequestrations shall be made in strict accordance with the requirements of section 251A of the Act and the specifications of the Office of Management and Budget's report of March 1,

    Anyone else think maybe the pres wanted these cuts all along? After all it was his idea. Now he gets the cuts and he gets to blame congress for it.

    I know we need to be a leaner government, and cuts need to come. It doesn't make it any easier, to think of the look in the faces of people holding the dreaded (PINK SLIP) to when their last day at work is!!!

    Also included in the order should have been the immediate termination all members of congress because they have proven that they can not work for the good of the people of the United States of America . Also any budget cuts will start at the top with removing all tax incentives and subsidies for large corporations . Also the elimination of the Earn income tax credit
